Better for Boxing Chagaev the champ or Wladamir?

Seriously though, would you really? I mean, 18 months from now, Vitali will be 39 years old and may be well be retired by his own injuries or a loss from which it's hard to climb back at his age. I'd rather see Wlad stay active and take on all comers like Povetkin and Haye than and injury prone, non-dominant Chagaev. But, if he proves me wrong the day after tomorrow, then i'll happily recognize him as THE man to beat.

 

Wladimir Klitschko, he has been cleaning out the HW division, has no medical problems, and has the experience and potential to be an ATG.

 

Vladimir Klitschko is cleaning out the heavyweight division inspite of boxing politics and extreme hatred by some Americans and media. Olympic gold medal winner also.

Wladimir is a great Champion and onetime he will be in the HOF.

 

The wrong thing is that if Chagaev wins the fight, the german promoter will feed him with tomato cans and valuev. Then he will retire and people would not even known who Chagaev was. At least Wlad takes challenges and want to be know, sadly his new stile of jabbing until the final bell is not a pleased style, like the pre Brewster Wlad.

 

Vlad has been cleaning out the heavyweight division. After he beats Chagaev, he will fight Povetkin, then all the other top ten contenders and champions he can get. Don King will not allow him to fight Valouev, but when he beats Chagaev he will prove how good he really is. Vlad will keep cleaning all the contenders out.

 

This better-for-boxing question at all divisions is a bit facile and meaningless.

It's better for boxing when the better fighter wins.

 

if Wladimir KlitschKO wins, it will be better for the world not only for boxing. Besides his evidential boxing dominance, Wladimir KlitschKO is a very community oriented individual. He is always willing to give back to the community. He has been doing a lot of things for the children of Africa, America, etc.

A Haye - Wlad fight has to happen for the good of the division and the sport. In fact I cant see anybody outside of these two who is a better bet for being the figurehead of the division, at least in the near future, so until they fight I will support Wladimir. (Vitali being too old)

The last thing the sport needs is another 5 foot 10 Barney Rubble lookalike as not only a belt holder but recognised champion of the division; with hepatitis B to boot. I like Chagaev, but thats the cold hard truth I'm afraid.
