The Hit Man's greatest vs. Hagler's greatest

Hearns on Duran for me. Without a doubt. Just one right hand out of the blue and bam, he had a guy with a great chin on the floor face first. The speed and accuracy of it, and the way Duran's head just twisted and then went back into place. Frightening but outstanding from Tommy the Hitman.

Hearns' KO over a drained Duran is the bigger and more shocking KO! :| However, Hagler's KO over Hearns is the more grand / epic KO in a BIG pay-per-view fight...:hey

Hearns-Duran, not even close. One of the best KOs of all-time. And that's coming from a Duran fan and somewhat of a Hearns sceptic.

The Hearns KO of Duran to me is the better. Hagler and Hearns definitely gave it their all but the savage shot on a guy like Duran who hadn't been stopped (knocked out) before is shockingly memorable.

Based on the punch, the Hearns KO over Duran is probably the most perfect KO punch I have ever seen.

    hearns hearns hearns. brutal.

hard to say looking back but imagine at the time a great chinned multi-weight champ like duran being sparked out face first. at least as shocking as moesly KOing marg no?

hearns on other hand had been stopped before, wasn't known as the best chinned fighter and got into a war with hagler.

The Hearns/Duran fight had the better knockout. But the Hagler/Hearns fight was far better. with nonstop action and dramatic ending.

I think Hearns/Duran because it was so clean and devastating, even though Tommy had been beating up Duran the previous round also. With Hagler, Hearns fell from exhaustion more than from that last punch.

Although Duran was a great knockout for Hearns, I am not sure Duran was Hearns greatest knockout. Knocking out Cueves in 2 rounds for his first title was great also. But the knockout over Duran was great since he unified the title in theory.

Hearns-Duran. That was a blowout. Hagler-Hearns was a great first round, but after that it was clear that Hearns was a goner because his legs were shot. Duran looked great when he stepped in the ring. Hearns savaged him. In retrospect, Duran didn't stand a chance. It was Hearns' finest moment.

Hearns - Duran, no comparison. Duran's chin was never dented either before nor after. A contender for best KO in history.

Duran had one of the best chins of all time and Hearns blew him away in two rounds.

The punch that sparked Duran was the best right hand ever thrown IMO.
