Who has the better legacy so far?

Calzaghe - unbeaten, long time champion at 168, ring champion at 175, beat both Hopkins and Jones.

Hopkins - long time champion at 160, ring champion at 175, top 5 p4p up to 43 age

Jones - long time p4p #1, multidivision titleholder including HW, almost undisputed champion at 175

On paper it's perhaps Hopkins, but I can't resist saying Jones - he really was superman at times.

How is hopkins resume better than jones

Jones has hopkins, toney, ruiz, hill, griffin, tarver mccallum

hopkins has trinidad, oscar, pavlik, tarver and wright

I'd say roy's is better clearly

theres nothing between hopkins and roy jones legacy, but calzaghe's is awful, it may become mis leading in decades to come as casual boxing fans will look at boxrec and see that he is undefeated and beating roy jones and bernard hopkins.

RJJ's legacy is great, some people may doubt his resume, but that is because he was so dangerous throughout his prime that it would take a real incentive for someone to get in the ring with him. To be the only boxer ever to have won the middleweight title and the heavyweight title is some achievement. he has beaten great fighters such as toney and tarver considering the circumstances. And undefeated throughout his prime.

B-HOP's legacy matches RJJ's for me, he controlled the middleweight divsion for a decade, making record number of defences, becoming the only fighter ever to hold all 4 titles in a weight class at the same time, some may argue that he has only lost 1 fight including me. His resume is the greatest of this generation, he has wins over undefeated glen johnson, prime felix trinidad, peak oscar delahoya, the man at 175 in antonio tarver, peak winky wright, and peak kelly pavlik.

Calzaghe's legacy doesn't even get close, 42 fights against bums, always fought these fights in britain, on home soil, got a disputed decision over an average fighter in robin reid, refused to give him a rematch, later chooses to give a rematch to a bum who he knocked out in the 1st round. travles to america and gets a disputed decision over hopkins, then chooses to fight a fighter who had been shot for over 4 years.

i agree calzaghe's record is definitely very misleading... this is why i hate fighters fighting past their prime... he is getting so much credit for the jones win and hopkins win that he doesnt deserve... although hopkins spanked pavlik... i think he clearly did that with ring smarts by showing how one dimensional pavlik is... but against calzaghe ring smarts weren't gonna work he would have actually needed to be in prime shape with prime handspeed and stamina to pull that fight out.. while in calzaghes case although he is 36 he is still in peak condition because of his protected career. i still wouldnt mind seeing hopkins vs calzaghe part 2 because i think that hopkins would pull it off... or a dawson vs calzaghe... i think that would be the first time he actually faced a battle tested fighter in their prime.... (kessler and lacy were not battle tested... didnt face any good fighters to be credible)

Why doesnt he deserve credit for beating Hopkins? 2 of his finest perforamances came just before and just after Calzaghe beat him. Calzaghe deserves every ounce of credit he gets for dethroning Hopkins, only a pure hater would admit otherwise.

    also most questionable resume: calzaghe
    most fraudulent resume: calzaghe
most washed up shot legends beaten: calzaghe
most trash talked: calzaghe and hopkins tie

and whats with the we don't give any rematches policy enzo... is that fear of a loss... the hopkins fight should be rematched because the win itself was very questionable.. it was easy to tell who was landing the cleaner shots and who was just being busy... kind of reminded me of the oscar de la hoya and pernell whittaker fight

ok lets give him credit for beating a fighter 7 years older then him who is out of his prime... not even peaking but still made it a questionable fight in which alot of people think he won... then we wont offer him a rematch just to make sure we keep our 0.. and even got dropped in the first round... ok sounds good... now who else can we give him credit for to say he deserves to be anywhere near hopkins and jones legacy wise

most questionable resume and most fraudulent maybe belongs to Jones
since he did not beat DM for becoming real LHW champion and won HW title
against Ruiz who was also beaetn by Toney.
