Which do you think, not considering outcomes, not considering how good Loma or Garcia are *compared to* the opponent, just based on how good the opponent is, where they're at in their own career, and any size advantages, which is a more impressive opponent for them, in your opinion?

Um. Are you just baiting trolls?

Obviously Linares is the infinitely better opponent.

We're talking so much so this thread should be deleted.

Linares is good but if he fought Broner he actually might lose by KO.

Linares would be Broners best win.

Broner destroyed a fighter who destroyed Linares.

Then again, one might argue that Garcia faced a shop-soiled Broner. Then again, Linares has had a competitive fight with Tony Crolla (not to scorn Crolla, who I like a lot) and gone life and death with Luke Campbell in recent times (again, not to disparage Luke at all, he's from my neck of the woods, one of my buddies was one of his main sparring partners for years, but he's not a professional worldbeater), so are we really to assume that he's at the absolute peak of his powers?

This is a toss-up. What has Linares ever done to suggest that he's a clear step up from Broner? They're both B fighters, they were both overhyped in their day and unable to live up to the advertising.

I do question if that's true in a h2h sense which I just realized this thread is about though.

Put Broner and Linares in a ring together and they make a competitive contest. As for their worth to the P4P hotshots they've been offered up to, I think they occupy a similar plane of accomplishment, a similar state of shopwear and provide equally favorable style matchups to their respective opponent (Broner to Garcia, Linares to Loma). That's why I'd say that one can pretty much toss a coin over this question.

With Broner you have a guy who's levels of commitment, determination, desire have all dropped dramatically at this stage of his career including when Garcia fought him. With Linares you have a guy who is on a win streak, beating every guy in his path, and might just be coming to the end of his peak but is not there's yet.

I'd say Linares would be the better win at the moment of their careers that the exact fights are or have taken place.
The only GREAT Broner win anyone has on their record in my opinion is Maidana. He beat prime brash undefeated Broner, and beat him good.

Linares was winning the fight. This is when Demarco was hot. Linares completely broke down after being cut twice. Great fight. Better than any Broner has ever been in.
Linares is clearly in another league right now.

@Nonito Smoak Wow. Really? No, I have never wasted my time trolling. I honestly think you're way exaggerating.

@Babality Yeah I can see it. This is why I'm surprised by how dominant the poll is.

@Reg and @navigator, if you two had voted neutral it would make me look less like a troll, I guess. Damn.

@Boxed Ears What scares me is you're finally starting to make sense on one of my threads and now it makes me think maybe Nonito is right and I'm a pr**k who looks like a troll. But I think based on the results you might be kind a right, even if you're not serious. I really don't see why this is an obvious one with no room for argument.
