Adamek may not have been that well known before his fights with Briggs, but since then he has become quite well known. So I wouldnt say that he isnt well known. He will only become (hopefully) more popular as time goes on, and he fights more.

But I would say that he is less popular (for now) then DM and Golota.

I think at this point, even Wlodarczyk is more popular. That's odd isn't it? I wonder what will happen with Proksa. You know, its likely not coincidental that Poland has seen an exponential rise in both quality fighters and big organized events, right after Golota. If anything, this is Golota's greatest contribution and legacy.

Wlodarczyk is pretty popular. I think that not many expected him to beat Cunningham and he pulled the upset, and that got him much of his popularity.

Adamek has had much more success, but most of his big fights have been outside of Poland. I think now though he is pretty popular, especially after his victory over Cunningham.

This, I have to agree with. Technically, Golota was a thing of beauty to watch as he hit Bowe with combo's Bowe never saw in his worst nightmare. Adamek showed excellent punching techhique against Briggs & Ulrich, but has changed his style slightly. Its working & getting the job done...so I'm not complaining.

But definitely Golota in his prime. Had AG not broken down mentally or whatever the reason was, he could have really been something in the HW div for a few years. I just wish the problems ended when he fought L Lewis. He could have done much better, but thats along time ago.

Is everyone in this thread smoking crack or just blind golota lovers? Golota's claim to fame is giving fits to a Riddick Bowe who had nothing left to over, and he still LOST! Adamek is a WORLD CHAMPION in 2 weight classes and made a bigger, harder hitting O'neill Bell quit. He has a world class chin, and when Buddy Mcgirt was going to throw in the towel from the beating he was taking from Chad Dawson he responded by dropping bad chad and finishing the fight.

Grzegorz Proksa blows them both away!

Golota's talent in his prime was undeniable but he threw it away for no reason.Adamek did what Golota never did and became accomplished.
