Morales beat better fighters ... he won just as many titles and won all 3 bouts IMO against Barrera.

In which case, you lose all credibility. :hi:

You probably scored Morales/Pacman 3 for Morales.

Morales weighed 10lbs heavier on fight night and Barrera still beat him at least 2 out of 3. Plus Barrera beat Hamed and Mckinney. Morales has Junior Jones and Pacquaio but overall Barrera by a margin.

No I didn't score Morales v Pac for Morales ...

How did Barrera fair in his last fight against Pacquiao ... he ran ... and lost stripes ... he lost that label of being a warrior ... and left the ring a chump.

He knew before the fight was made that he couldn't beat Pacquiao and it wasn't much anticipation about the fight considering he had just lost to Marquez.

Morales beat Pacquiao once ... convincingly and he knocked Pacquiao down.

Barrera got pummeled and beat down the worst out of his entire career the first time against Pac.

He got stopped by Junior Jones ... he backed out of a fight against Jesus Chavez for a lightweight crown and Morales beat both of those guys.

    Morales:
    Paulie Ayala
    Injin Chi
    Jesus Chavez
    Junior Jones
    Kevin Kelly
    Wayne McCullough
    Manny Pacquiao

    Barrera:
    Naz
    Tapia
    Peden

The rest of the guys .... Morales either beat them before he did ... or they never became legit champions or he lost to them.

I agree--Eric took out Jones & beat Pacman using mainly offensive tactics--------their trilogy, a draw IMO.....:smoke

Morales. Though I know my opinion does not count I feel that he is 2 and 1 against Barrera. Plus he beat the guys that beat Barrera. Barrera got the Hamed win but I think Morales would have been able to do that also.

Similar resumes, with Morales being better by not so much.

But Barrera being better toe-to-toe is what makes him greater.

Morales. You can't really look to the fights between them IMO cause all 3 were razor close (maybe the 3rd was slightly clearer for MAB). Morales did something Barrera could NEVER do IMO, and thats beat Pacquiao, and he edges it for resume too.

"Morales beat Jones and Jones beat Barrera"

When did that become more important than the fact Barrera beat Morales 2-1?

If we're going by that warped logic, then Ricardo Mayorga is better than Shane Mosley (he beat Forrest who beat Mosley). Doesn't work, does it?

You really dont know anything about this period of boxing. Barrera beat MkKinney who maybe the top 122lber at the time. Most of the guys on Morales list you made were not top fighters when he fought them.

Let's be fair here, every single guy on this list is far far better than Wayne McCullough or Injin Chi ever were:

    BARRERA Resume
    Morales twice
    Hamed (two superstars)

    Paulie Ayala
    Johnny Tapia
Kennedy McKinney (three absolutely top quality world champion opponents)

    Rocky Juarez
    Kevin Kelley
Robbie Peden (the next level down, three very good world champions)

I would *****. It was an amazing trilogy, 2 amazing fighters, both fought brilliantly, but the third fight was the only one that was a definite victory. It was close, but clear for Barrera. That gives him the edge over the trilogy. Very close, but MAB did genuinely and deservedly sneak it.
