Better puncher? Bowe or Wlad Klitschko?

Wlad is the more explosive single shot puncher although Bowe often gets over looked ..

 

Jab - Wald
Left Hook - Wlad
Straight Right - Wlad
Overhand Right - Bowe
Uppercut - Bowe

 

Wlad is the better overall puncher as far as hitting the hardest, but Bowe is the better overall fighter at delivering his power.

Wlad has never showed he could compete against a Evander Holyfield type fighter ATG. Bowe has easily beaten the usual suspects Wlad has been able to beat unless you consider Bowe to be at his peak against Golota where he struggled but won.

 

I agree salty. Who has Wlad ever stopped that really shows that he has
atg power better than Bowe? Bowe had the power and repertoire
to connect his punches and win against the elite of the elite. I mean
I take Manny Stewards word for it when He says that Wlad is one of the
Hardest punchers ever. Imo power is one facet of punching. I believe
Bowe is just as powerful due to his ability to put together combos and
his outside/inside ability. Prime for Prime Bowe KO 5.

I would say Wlad hits a little harder, but let's not confuse tactics with power. Wlad for the most part doesn't open up and fire power shots. Bowe did, but when Wlad lands his hook or right hand flush, guys drop as if they were shot by a gun.

Bowe can only not only punch behind a jab he was also a very skilled inside fighter.

He can take the fight to more places. Wlad can only do his robotic bollocks. As for power, I think Bowe would most likely stop the same fighters Wlad is with much the same aplomb. Of the few clean K.Os I can remember with Wlad, they're both with the left hook (Chambers an Austin) and apart from that he's needed numerous shots and knockdowns to put away shot Peter and Rahman. Wlad by a whisker I imagine.

Bowe is the better fighter IMO. Whilst Wlad, at his best has been a focused and deciated professional and Bowe was anything from it and also mentally fragile in the ring without the ability to adapt, he fought in a better era and showed more tools.

In a fight between the two at their best I'd favour Bowe. For composite punching, also Bowe.

Bowe had a wider variety of punches, but a large man doesn't necessarily need all of the skills Bowe possessed. Wlad has more KOs against top contenders, and has very consistently stopped his opponents for years.

Wlad by a decent margin.

 

Bowe, though Wlad may punch harder he is more tentative & robotic.
