They are so evenly matched up against eachother... Size. Skills. Athletics and so on. They can nullify eachother in almost every category. To me reaction time is the attribut that will seperate them. It will come down to reactons.

So who's got the better reactions?

Wlad is fast but Corrie Sanders had him beaten in reactions. What about Joshua?

Wlad is 41, so AJ is faster, but the real question is who has the better mental speed to gain the advantage as neither is likely to take the other's best.

If I was coaching Wlad, I'd tell him to circle and jab a bit as Joshua sort of fights like he's on rails, then land the right hand, but he has to be willing to let his hands go.

Wlad had better defense and footwork even at his advanced age.

He just can't sit back and wait unless AJ is unable to deal with his jab.

    Fascinating fight.

Not sure Wlad can circle, but he can certainly use his jab to unsettle AJ. Joshua has not been in with a boxer who has a decent jab and reach. Wlad's jab is (was?) world class and he has reach. I wonder how AJ will cope with having to re-set each time he want to fire because he has been disturbed by a persistent jab?

Wlad's attempt at being a bit 'Shannon Briggs' was behind the sofa cringeworthy....

Wlad fights with such a high degree of fear and his reactions are right up there

He never fought so cowardly when he fought Sanders. Sanders was just an incredibly fast powerful fighter, who seemed to have no fear whatsoever

In fact it could be argued Sanders is the reason Waldo spent the remainder of his career fighting in utter terror of ultra limited plodders half his size

I agree. He became even worst after He Gassed against Brewster as well. After that fight he adopted a no risk type of style. The Ibragimov fight was one of the worst high profile heavyweight fights I've seen.
