Better Record at HW, Haye or Adamek?

I agree Haye despite being a title holder has not fought the best in the division yet. I had hoped Haye would have looked to fight guys like povetkin, Chagaev and Peter that would really give us an idea as to how good he is and if he even stands a chance against either of the Klits. He's definately talented and has serious power but is still an unknown quantity at the upper level of the division.

 

Adamek is still an unproven quantity like Haye at heavyweight for me. I was very confident he would beat Arreola as Arreola is way overrated and Adamek is a proven top world class fighter even though at a lower weight.

Just like Haye I would like Adamek to fight guys like Povetkin, Peter and Chagaev who are better than the fighters that either of them have fought so far.

Not sure who would win in a fight between Haye and Adamek. Haye has the power and Adamek is the more skilled fighter in my opinion.

 

I agree that they are both unproved (3-4 fights), but tbh I see only 2 fighters being better at this weight. But it doesnt count because Haye and Adamek might have made much better fight than Klitschkos against any other fighter. This is why we are watching fights.

 

Estrada > Barrett, Golota > Ruiz, Arreola > Valuev
also CW Bell > Mormeck, Cunningham > Macca

Adamek is there for the tough fights while Haye looks for easy wins.. sadly Haye is faster more powerfull and more talented. God made a big mistake here, just a waste of talent giving it to such a scared cat..:hey

 

Adamek because his victories show his versatility. He has beaten an old crafty veteran (Golota), a good boxer (Estrada), and a big young puncher (Arreola).

By comparison, Haye has beaten the same fighter three times. They were all old veterans and they were all well past their respective primes. Haye needs to fight a young guy who can punch.

 

You're confusing two tall white guys. Nikolai Valuev is not Vitali Klitschko. He has no punching power, he doesn't throw many punches and he got beat up by ancient Evander Holyfield. Arreola would win that matchup and win it pretty easily with superior punch output and aggression.

 

Haye, I think. Just due to the slightly more importance of the fights. Anyway, I'd fancy Haye over Adamek every day of the week. Adamek was hurt by Arreola and Haye's speed is vastly greater. I can see Adamek getting stopped mid to late rounds.

 

Bonin is a complete tomato can. He might as well not even be there.

Adameks Golota win is also meaningless, but it was his first fight at HW, where he looked good. An old Golota was surely a much better opponent then Bonin.

Estrada is a much more formidable and lively opponent then Barret. Estrada would beat Ruiz at this point as well.

Arreola is surely better and more dangerous then Ruiz, another old, slowed heavy still trying to capture a title, and arguably Valuev. I think Arreola would have gave Valuev a better fight then Haye.

Haye pretty much got a gift in a hyped championship fight against Valuev, it was a horrible fight, one where he did next to nothing to win, and got a gift for his efforts... or lack thereof.

Adameks competition has been much more lively, young, demanding, and the fights all have been exciting and lived up to expectation.

Haye imo has failed to deliver big time. Nothing but promises about great and exciting fights, and so far he is falling short. Hopefully he will finally face a lively opponent, in an exciting fight next. He is a good fighter who has fought sub-par compeition at this point, or has not lived up to expectations.

Adamek definently has had the better opposition and more exciting fights to this point.

To give Haye the edge here would be unfair to Adamek and his efforts and huge cajones. Hayes HW record only really looks good on paper.

I really think Haye is a good, skilled fighter. But I also think he is a ***** with a big mouth in the boxing world. I hope he changes his way.

You base your assessment of Arreola based upon what? His one sided beating at the hands of Vitali. His stunning win against the son of Tim Witherspoon or his amazing win against a retired over the hill contender in McCline. Ruiz is way passed his prime but he at least proven at a decent level. Haye beating Ruiz is better than anything Arreola has done and will ever do.

This is only Adameks second fight at heavyweight he and his team were confident of victory for a reason, Arreola is not a top heavyweight contender by any stretch of the imagination. Arreola is just another stepping stone for Adamek who he is clearly superior to. I am sure Adamek will go on to beat much better fighters than Arreola.

 

About the same. Adamek's record against top guys at cruiser is also about the same as Haye's, though Haye's had a bit more flash because of titles.

 

But Ruiz beat Golota and in there most recent fight Mormeck beat Bell...

Also Valuev would beat Arreola with ease! Arreola isn't that good!

 

One is the WBA Heavyweight Champion of the World, the division's biggest cash cow and the man everyone wants to fight.

The other is Adamek.

also valuev has lost with ancient holy, it's not a big deal to defeat him, it's harder to defeat arreola but it's only my point of view

 

everyone wants to fight cause everyone knows he's beatable. wba champ? so what? if valuev could be a wba champ for a long time anybody can :yep

 

Haye's record @ HW is slightly better at the moment.

The Golota win is a joke and Arreola isn't as good as some make him to be.
