Better Record at HW, Haye or Adamek?

So let's have these two fight and find out who's better. Why are Haye's fan avoiding this match up like the plague? Haye has not merited a shot at the K-Bros thus far. The fact that Adamek's HW resume is now being debated as being better/thesame/close to Haye's in just 6 months of work is a testament to that. He should face a live opponent first. Adamek gives him that challenge.

 

The Klitschkos want Haye because he has pissed off both of them and he has a belt. I do actually remember Haye talking about Adamek a few months ago, saying if he got some wins at heavyweight then the fight could be made. Obviously he has those now. I think Haye/Adamek would be a better fight than anything involving the Klitschkos, as it would be more exciting and competitive, and the winner gets a Klit.

 

You name multiple world champions (excluding Audley 'scared to take a punch' Harrison) here...and you say they are the biggest hype in boxing? Wouldn't it make more sense for you to name boxers who havn't collected World titles in at least one weight class, and call those hype jobs?
I could make a list of American boxers, or other nationalities whose 'bubble waiting to burst'...it ain't about what country you come from. Stop trying to take credit for other peoples achievements like the majority of American's do.

 

What are you talking about 'Hayes fans are avoiding this like the plague'? A lot of the replies in this thread are from fans of Haye who want this fight. Myself included.

The only thing is that if this fight goes ahead it's lose-lose for Haye. If he wins the fight everyone will ask why he didn't fight Wlad, if he loses then it'll be tough for him to get that fight with Wlad.

 

Its not a lose lose fight at all. Sure a few fools will say Hay is ducking Klits. If he wins, he will get to fight them. It will be widely recognized as a proper eliminator for facing the Klitschkos, in the process creating more interest in the person who wins..

 

You could say exactly the same thing about Haye's campaign at heavyweight...the only difference is it'd be true. Arreola has now fought and lost to two top five fighters. Haye, on the other hand, for three only veterans who were clearly on the downside of their career. Not to mention the fact that none of them could punch worth a damn. Very, very carefully selected fights for a fighter many claim likes to take big risks.

Sorry, but Adamek's heavyweight campaign easily rivals Haye's. Valuev was finished and everyone knew it. He knew it when old Evander Holyfield beat him up. We knew it for sure when he ran from both Klitschkos who both offered him fair deals. If anyone cared enough to label him, Valuev would be dismissed as a hype job coward who held onto a paper title fighting overrated Euros and mediocre talents like John Ruiz.

 

In order of relevancy, my opinion:

0 Haye didn't beat Valuev, that was a robbery.

+2 - Haye did knock the dog **** out of Ruiz, a former world champ who is not amazing but is a proven veteran.

+2 Arreola, a great win for Adamek.

+1 Golota is no *****, but is past it, and has no heart.

0 Barret is a C+ fighter

Bonin & Estrada, I don't know enough about to have an opinion.

So, while I was originally going to say Haye, now it looks like Adamek.

 

Wow this started as a rather rational thread and turned into a **** storm of bias and national fervour. Only on ESB!

One thing the polish and british fans do well is support their sportmens even to the point of complete irrationality.

Adamek for me did not struggle at all with Arreola, he's still new to the division and is fighting a bigger man who at a certain level has shown some power, it's inevitable he's gonna get rocked now and again. Yet some seem happy to ignore the fact Adamek totally outboxed Arreola for the majority of the fight.

Haye's performace was dissapointing against Valuev but he won comfortably to me on points. You can't ignore the fact that Haye broke his right hand in that fight and so had to change his tactics. When he did start to put some power in his punches in the last round he had Valuev hurt. If there is a rematch I doubt it would last more than 6 rounds.

Put the bias and national fevour to one side and enjoy in the fact we have 2 good prospects who come to fight in shape and bring some excitement to a division that has been sorely lacking in anything that could come close to entertainment and drama.

 

At this point Haye has the better record, but neither of them are anything to write home about.

 

You seem to be quite oblivious to the point. Haye is already on the Klitschko's radar, hell they are now calling him out. Haye's in terms of business does not need to fight Adamek. Him beating Adamek would not mean he would get a fight with Wlad or Vitali as it is clear he would get a fight with them without the need to fight Adamek hence why it is regarded as a no win situation.

Personally I would like to see Haye/Adamek fight as I think it would be a good competitive fight that is guaranteed to end in a KO for someone. But I'd also like to see Haye fight a more proven heavyweight contender like Chagaev, Povetkin etc.

 

The problem is that there aren't many people in the division who really have earned a shot. So the Klits are fighting the best guys that they can, but really we know how one-sided the fights will be before they begin.

Haye's wins so far haven't been impressive. But who at heavy right now is impressive apart from the Klits?
Wins over Valuev and Ruiz - two previous WBA champions - is about as good as most people can offer at the Heavy division if we are talking about earning a shot at the Klits.

 

The one thing Haye can get by winning over Adamek is American TV. After beating Arreola, Adamek will be now HBO boy.
Maybe I am wrong, then correct me, was or wasnt Haye-Ruiz broadcasted in the US?
