First off your association in your Brit fighter hate tirade is off. Hamed NEVER had a **** chin. Most of the KDs scored against him were due to his unorthodox style leaving him offbalance alot. Besides Barrera beating the bejesus out of him, Hamed's biggest downfall was his dedication. He stopped training at a certain point and then came the weight troubles. If he had a **** chin Barerra would have put him to sleep with how he was hitting him(Mzonke Fana style)

Arreola is what he is. He's no bum but he's not the savior of the division and is too one dimensional right now to be such. However, a win over him is not meaningless. his stamina, chin, workrate, and heavyhands(not a one punch KO artist but he wears you down if he starts landing consistently) I really don't see anyone beating him that stands and trades with him. He already eliminated guys who couldn't avoid doing so because of: lack of experience(Witherspoon), and stamina(Walker), or just too far past it and not motivated(McCline) But a guy with the right combination of skills, strategy, chin, and poise will beat him....and Adamek demonstrated all of that. Arreola is dangerous the entire fight and served as a solid win for a "small heavyweight" like Adamek.

Haye's victories showed he has the athleticism to compete at heavy but not against guys known for their power or speed. Barrett never could beat any top guys(unless you're Arum and consider Fields a top guy). Ruiz's spoiler style worked for many years but he always has been troubled by speed. And it's too late in his career to adopt the more "boxing" type style he's using now. Valuev is huge but that's about it. He possesses underwhelimng power for a worldclass heavy, is as slow as they come and therefore easily outmaneuvered. His hard work(along with some gift decisions) allowed him to get further than he should have despite being huge to a liability.

Neither guy has truly shown they have what it takes to handle what the Klits offer...because only the Klits fight the way they do. And that's good news if you're not fighting them because right now both brothers are dominant. I'd love for them to fight each other for the right to fight one of the Klit brothers.

Izolnier, your hatred of the British is pretty deep.

You didn't bet your mortgage on Golota to beat Lewis did you?

I maybe wrong but I don't think Haye/Ruiz was broadcast in the states. I don't really see how beating a HBO boy like Adamek would bring much to the fight to be honest. The Klitschko's themselves have been exposed to the US market and will bring in US revenue though I doubt it would be much anyway as their isn't a US fighter involved in this match up.

Talk about oblivious...Sure, Haye can continue on in the UK and make good money. But if he wants to be an international star and fight on networks like HBO, he needs a Klitschko or maybe even Adamek. He's not going to get on HBO fighting the likes of Valuev and Ruiz. We know that because HBO didn't show his first defense.

Your bias throughout this thread reeks. I quote "Arreola is another HBO hype train ready to crash". Do these words sound farmiliar? They should you wrote it yesterday in the thread titled "Apologies to the pole but"

In one thread you belittle Arreola as a hype job who is ready to be beaten, then in this thread Arreola is suddenly a worthy contender because it suits your argument. You were right yesterday about Arreola you are way off the mark today.

Are you serious here? Lennox Lewis amassed a 100 million dollar fortune fighting on HBO. Sure, most of it was from the big PPV fights, but he earned good money in all of his other defenses as well. Fact is, Haye doesn't become an international superstar without HBO.

Your right he will not get on HBO fighting the likes of Valuev and Ruiz. But he does not need to fight Adamek to get on HBO he can just by pass him and fight a Klitschko to be seen on HBO and get a bigger payday and greater kudos. Once again Haye/Adamek in purely business terms is a redundant fight as it doesn't give Haye anything he doesn't have or he can get by fighting a Klitschko.

Different era different situation. Lewis fought in a great era with plenty of HBO support not only for himself but rising young contenders. There is a reason why HBO no longer do night of the young heavy's anymore, there isn't the same level of interest in the division in the US market as before, hence why the Klitschko's don't earn purses as large as Lewis, Tyson and Holyfield did.

But everyone seems to be missing my point. I am not saying Haye can become a big international star without HBO support what I am saying he does not need to fight Adamek to get on HBO. Why fight him when he can get on HBO by passing Adamek and fight a Klitschko. If he wins he's be a much bigger star than beating Adamek on HBO.

The reason I'm leaning toward Adamek is because his three wins at heavy show more versatility than Hayes.

As it stands, Adamek has beat a decent boxer, an old veteran and a younger puncher.

Haye, by comparison has beaten the same guy three time. He beat three old veterans that couldn't punch and were well past it.

Bottom line: Haye has to fight somebody who isn't on the verge of retirement. Sure, Valuev and Ruiz were pretty good fighters, but they were very, very beatable. In my opinion, Adamek would have beaten them both quite easily.

Now, that doesn't mean he'd beat Haye, but this matchup should be made.

A fight between Haye and Adamek would be on HBO, it would actually probably result in a huge live gate in New Jersey, where Adamek is based. The winner, of what would undoubtedly be an entertaining fight, would attract more interest and more money from HBO.

Then again, why not to fight Adamek. He is easier opponent for Haye than bros - so it would be easier for him to get on HBO, the one thing he should do is to beat Adamek. It sounds to be easier than beating Klits.

That's certainly true...But he's not going to fight a Klitschko. Since he won the belt he has expressed absolutely no interest in fighting either of them. I think most fans have accepted the fact that he won't fight them anytime soon. In fact, in a reason poll on the boards about 85 percent responded that Haye would not fight Wlad next. What I'm saying is that this is his really his only other option to gain that exposure.

Adamek vs. Haye would be a big fight and it would whet the world's appetite for a Klitschko vs. Haye mega fight (if he won). If Haye fought Klitschko next it would be a big fight in Europe and for some boxing fans in the US. If Haye fought Klitschko after he proved that he could handle a top frighter who wasn't a WBA retread, it would take the fight to a whole new level.

He will be an easier opponet than either Klit but it's not a given he would beat Adamek and so would be risking a good payday against Wlad or Vitali. Remember I am talking purely about business here I am sure a payday against either Klit would pay out more than a fight with Adamek. In terms of business it is a risky move to fight such a dangerous opponent and risk losing a larger purse. It would only make sense if beating Adamek gave Haye better options in negoiations with either Klit which I don't think it would.
