This one is so obvious I apologize if it's been done before, but the two Italian Stallions had remarkably similar careers. Marciano went 49-0, with six victories against four other ATG boxing champions (Louis, Walcott, Charles, Moore) who were past their best, and a handful of good wins against young guns like Layne and LaStarza. He had two controversial fights, one against respected journeyman Ted Lowry, and the other in his first fight with LaStarza, though it would not have been so controversial in moderns times when the knockdown Marciano scored would have gotten him a 10-8 round. Calzaghe went 46-0 with seven wins against other titlists (Reid, Lacey, Kessler, Eubank, Woodhall, Jones and Hopkins) and again, the two legends were past their best, although there is the somewhat mitigating circumstance that Calzaghe himself was the one with the chronic injuries by the time he fought them. He beat a number of good contenders like Mario Veit. Reid is his most controversial fight, and a few felt Hopkins beat him, although that is almost insane given the Calzaghe landed almost twice as many punches. So, who is the better of the undefeated goombahs?
Sorry zaggers, I like ya and all, but Marciano beat the bigger names in my opinion. Moreover, he generally stretchered his opponents out of the ring whereas Calzaghe not so much. That said its not as far apart as one might think: RJJ and Hopkins were both big wins and Lacy has become underrated nowadays. Going into the fight he was expected to maul Calzaghe and Joe snapped him like a dry branch. He was never the same again.
