How can Wlad be the only 20ish defenses lineal champion to not be that high?

I was referring to Canelo dragging up Floyd.

We both know that that didn’t happen.

Regarding Marquez, look at how desperate you are.

Trying to justify Floyd dragging up a 36 year old LW, who went straight back down after.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, he deliberately cheated him on the scales.

    This was Floyd:

“Weight is never an issue. I don’t care what anybody weighs. Because it’s skills that pay the bills”

    This was also Floyd:

    “You’ll fight me at a catch-weight, or I won’t fight you”

I rate Wlad #7 all time at HW, higher than most on this forum I suspect, but he didn't have 20ish defences of the lineal title.

Wlad is generally accepted as attaining lineage after beating Chageav, following which he had 11 successful defences of the lineal title.

I'm guessing you meant he made 19 defences of an alphabet title and was lineal champion for a time too.

Floyd wanted to fight Canelo at welterweight. Floyd and Marquez had razor close in ring weights at welter/Jr middle. These are facts.

Lol at lineal title. No fighter cares about that and it obviously tweaks favoritism to the one belt era.

Because we’re not just debating on statistics are we?

Otherwise, Sven Ottke would have been a better fighter than Roy Jones at SMW.

    You mentioned lineal.

Why didn't you just say "20ish defences" if you feel that way?

Ali is light years above Fairweather.

Ali took on literally everybody and anybody who stepped into the ring.

Fairweather spent half of his career ducking and manipulating fights in order to achieve the 50 - 0.

Floyd and Canelo were champions in the SAME division, and he’d already fought Oscar and Cotto there.

It doesn’t matter what the ring weights were.

Marquez was a LW, when Floyd took him up to WW and cheated him on their agreed upon catch-weight.

Why don’t you look at yourself.

You advocate catch-weights with guys from the same division.

You advocate catch-weights which aren’t even adhered to.

You aren’t a fan of the sport.

    The irony is:

You are even worse than the so called rose tinted crew.

You need to do a better job of keeping track of who you're attempting to wind up and about what.

You ridiculed a term I used, in a post that literally quoted you using that very same term.

I suggest that you limit your attempts to wind other posters up to one at a time, you'll be less likely to slip up again.

Holmes had 3 close fights against Norton, Witherspoon and Williams that he arguably lost, almost got knocked out by Shavers, Weaver and Snipes, lost his title to a light heavyweight and docked a lot of the best contenders in his era (as well as never giving a rematch to the ones he had a close fight with). Don't see how that's better then Wlads dominant run where he dominated all the best fighters and ducked no one. Not even mentioning that Wlad beat better fighters and in more dominant fashion and only lost in competitive fights to SHWs not a blown up light heavyweight.

So what if Larry had close fights and almost got knocked out?

Wlad did get knocked out. Three times to non great guys.

He also barely beat Sam Peter.

He was dropped and looked vulnerable 13 times in his career.

    He had to wrestle Povetkin.

Larry didn’t duck the best contenders in his era.

    Wlad wasn’t more skilled.

They reigned over a similar level of competition.

Wlad wasn’t good enough to be ranked that highly.

Prime for prime, Larry was the more complete fighter.
