Floyd's undefeated run vs Bernard's domination of the MW Division + all that he achieved after the age of 41.

Everyone should know about Floyd and his wins, I feel that some of Bernard's wins were underrated. His Pascal-Pavlik-Tarver fights were all when he was past the age of 41 and he was a under dog against all 3. He dominated 2 of them, and won an entertaining fight against Pascal.

His MW run actually had some tough opponents mixed in there. The Trinidad fight was a big win for Bernard as well. Trinidad's 'best weight' might not have been at MW, but he was certainly a good MW. (If you think about what Hopkins had done around the 170-175 pounds mark, you could make the case his 'best weight' might have been SMW-LHW. Just imagine a young Bernard making the jump up sooner)

Hopkins suffered two very controversial losses against Taylor, both of which could have been wins.

He was in a close, albeit utterly shitty fight against Joe Calzaghe(the greatest SMW of all times). He was also ducked by Roy Jones Jr in 2000-2003

Bernard Hopkins on Roy Jones Jr in 2001, when Roy said he's the 'better fighter'.

'"""Maybe he's been eating some of that dog food he's been feeding his pit bulls, because it's starting to show on his brain""

" Ducked by Roy jones jr in 2000-2003 ". How did Roy duck him when Roy already destroyed him before ?? Hopkins priced himself out, there was no way he deserved a 50/50 with Roy, as Roy was a bigger draw and had already beat him before.

:lol::lol: There is a series of hundred page threads regarding Roy. Let's not talk about that here ok? Lol. But, if you for a moment think Roy didn't 'duck anyone' you are out of your mind. Roy Jones Jr was one of the biggest 'health first' fighters in the history of the sport.

IRONICALLY he started risking his life AFTER his decline and AFTER his brutal knock outs.

Bernard Hopkins, and this one is not even close. Hopkins has the fight anyone, anywhere, and any time mentality.

Floyd, on the other hand, while undefeated, is known for ducking elite competition.

Hopkins and it isnt even close had Floyd taken as many P4P fighters on he would have hit a few bumps in the road himself.

Hopkins REALLY took some risks in his career by fighting guys that, if you would have listen to the boxing experts, he could have lost and were calling him crazy before the fights. There was not blueprint
for Trinidad and Pavlik as an example. When was the last time Mayweather fought a guy that had no blueprint and that he wasn't sure to beat? From this point, end of discussion for me.

Hopkins, but not by much. I think his best wins are better, and he matches Floyd for longevity. If Hopkins had got the decisiosn he deserved vs Taylor and Calzaghe, and Floyd had got the decision he deserved in the 1st Castillo fight, this wouldn't be so close at all.
