and the fact that he did it as an underdog is huge. I have him a top 30 ATG, a great fighter.

I hate that Trinidad is seen as a blown up welterweight :patsch He was already fighting at 154 years before even thinking of fighting at middleweight and was the #2 middleweight heading into the Hopkins bout.

Hell, he might have been ranked #1 over Hopkins.:!:

Ya but he himself went up in weight at a very old age and had some great wins there.

Tbh Hopkins should have went up to 168-175 a lot sooner.

Calzaghe is the greatest SMW of all times.

It is a short division, he have dominated that division more then any other SMW. It is not a debate. It is rock hard thick fact.

    Mayweather, close but clear

Comparing the 15 best opponents or biggest fights they fought:
    Hopkins
    L + W Roy Jones
    L Joe Calzaghe
    W Felix Trinidad
    W Oscar De La Hoya
    L Chad Dawson
    W Glen Johnson
    W Antonio Tarver
    W + D Jean Pascal
    L + L Jermain Taylor
    W Kelly Pavlik
    W Winky Wright
    W Keith Holmes
    W John David Jackson
    W William Joppy
    D + W Sergundo Mercado

    Mayweather
    W Diego Corrales
    W + W Jose Luis Castillo
    W Miguel Cotto
    W Genaro Hernandez
    W Ricky Hatton
    W Oscar De La Hoya
    W Shane Mosley
    W Carlos Baldomir
    W Juan Manuel Marquez
    W Angel Manfredy
    W Arturo Gatti
    W Jesus Chavez
    W Victor Ortiz
    W Zab Judah
    W Carlos Hernandez

The lack of competition in the fights and methods of victory help make my decision.

    RING Magazine P4P Rankings:
