    GREAT POST:deal

i 100% agree with evry word, clazaghe one of the most overrated under acheiving boxer to ever wear a pair of gloves. i like how you post points out clearly how jc resume is very ordinary at best.

ps at the end you said that hamed is more dislikeable, i disagree, in hamed case he new half the **** he talk and the way he acted was just part of the act, but calzaghe i think he beleives half the **** he says and really tjinks jones dodged him when roy was at the top, i mean is he in fairy land or what, jones didnt even know he existed. and the way he trys to hotdog in the jones fight, i dont think you could get a more dislikable w@nker:bart

I am not damning JOE reign, it takes an immense Mental effort to stay undefeated regardless of the opposition.

I think Joes greatest strength are his will to win.

I just disagree with the fact that he is the greatest Brit ever, Hamed isnt evemn close and his level of opposition is better.

I would Also say Hatton has dipped his feet in a higher level.

I think Joe/F Warren were more concerned with stats than making waves against greats in their primes.

Jones/Hopkins would not of got any credit for fighting JOE 6-7 years ago. His name didnt mean anything.

Thats why the fight happened too late.

They were past it and Joe had just attained credibility!

to be honest, calzaghe kept on fighting till the end unlike hamed who was shell shocked after his loss to barrera and retired. had he kept fighting id have more respect to the guy but like most people in boxing, hamed won fans over by being a showman, thinking he was invincible but he didnt follow in jones and alis footsteps and kept going even after hed lost. where would ali be if he stopped fighting after the frazier fight? he wouldnt be the greatest thats for sure.

Agreed its a good thread but posted by an obvios Naz fan.One thing i did disagree with was one of Naz opponents been compared to Pudwill.I dont think ive ever seen a less worthy title challenger.Id pick Naz over Joe due to Joe being inconsistent. He always won but sometimes the fights were awful.I was present at the Starie fight and ive never heard a more discontented crowd,it was a terrible fight but typical of Joe .Naz brought excitment and was rarley in a boring fight.I think a lot of people started watching the sport because of him.Joe got people watching toward the end of his career but he didnt take many risks and there are a few fighters from his era either unhappy with the desicion that went against them or unhappy they never got to fight him.Naz pretty much took care of everyone at featherweight and his wins were never in any kind of dispute. There is no shame in losing to a peak Marco Antonio Barrera and that should not go against him when comparing him to Joe.

A good Reason why Joe retired undefeated was because his Marquee fights were against 2 guys at Light Heavy with a combined age of 83.???

But we are talking about opposition at Supermiddle and Feather....Hameds 10 World champs (5 current) is far better than Joes.

    Hamed also Kod his guys.

Hamed also faced a GREAT in his prime in Vegas.

    revisionism:

hamed:i want to man love naseem while lacy, hopkins and jones watch on

calzaghe:the restraining order wont stop me.

could have saved you a lot of time.
