Better Resume: Calzaghe Or Jermain Taylor?

This one not even close, Calzaghe of course, Taylor hasn't really beat anyone noticeable besides Hopkins.

Taylor didn't beat Wright!!!!

I can't really decide on which is better.

Taylor has beaten better fighters but he has 2 losses to Pavlik.

I say it's even just now - but that should tell you something about Joe Calzaghe. Jermain Taylor has been a world champion since 2005 (3 years), Calzaghe has been a world champion for over ELEVEN YEARS.

I mean, that really is shocking!!

 

Whats Manfredo doing in there?

 

The better resume goes to Jermaine Taylor, easily.

Joe C. has only fought 2 great fighters, both past their prime and only won one of the fights in a clear fashion; the two fighters being Roy Jones Jr. and B-Hop.


Wright has fought B-Hop, arguably losing one of the fights, twice, fought Pavlik twice, losing the the first but making a great showing in the 2nd, and Winky Wright.

JT takes on bigger threats in his still young career, compared to the ducker and slapper Calzaghe.

I saw a post on this site today saying some bull**** about Calzaghe going down in the history as a great one, bull****. He is a overprotected British hype job. I give more credit to that garbage Hatton than Calzaghe, at least he tried to fight the best in their prime (Floyd), than duck him and wait for him to fade.

It's not even a contest, Calzaghe and by a mile.

 

Theres some really unsubtle agenda pushing here, at least try and do it with a little ****ing guile guys.....

 

Taylor's victories and even that draw are controversial in the Hopkins' and even Spinks fights. You have to be joking to assert that he's even close to Calzaghe's resume.

He also has two losses to Pavlik, a now proven overrated fighter.

Calzaghe has defeated Chris Eubank, Robin Reid, Omar Sheika, Byron Mitchell, Jeff Lacy, Sakio Bika, Mikkel Kessler & Bernard Hopkins. I don't count the washed up Jones as much of a victory so I didn't mention it.

Taylor has defeated Hopkins twice in controversy, drew with Wright in controversy and defeated Raul Marquez, Cory Spinks & Kassim Ouma. Then lost twice to Pavlik and then defeated a washed up version of Jeff Lacy.

 

And would have lost, handily.

 

Has to be calzaghe, everybody always tries taking **** when mentioning Bika and manfredo to slag calzaghe off. They never mention Mitchell (2x world champion), brewer (world champion), reid (world champion), Woodhall (world champion), also worth mentioning is that these guys were world champs at super middle, not people coming up in weight like spinks and ouma who gave taylor fits.
