The first fight wasnt as close as the scorecards say, and he was stopped in the second.

I would hope that he would have beat Haye at that point, what was it Haye 5th fight:nut . I think Haye may have had a few more fights then 5 but not many...Thompson wasnt that good, and got knockedout in just about every "step up" he had.

Here really is the problem with Cazlaghe resume...You guys always have to got to the fighters that the guys he beat fought, if his resume was strong we would only be talking about the fighters that Joe beat, but we arent. Were well YOU are tring to convice people of his greatest by tring to convice us of how good the fighters are....NOT the fighters that he beat but the ones that the guys he beat beat or at least fought. It dont work that way...I think if anything proves that it would be the whole Taylor>Hopkins>Pavlik>Taylor equation..:good

Its crazy....Joe beat Eubank who lost to Thompson who beat Haye in his 8th fight makes Joe a great fighter:huh

If Marquez can still get a shot as old as he is and Bunema can flatten Karmazin then they there i something to be said about both of them. Woodhall quit after losing to Calzaghe at age 32. He is not better.

no theres loads of things that make him a great fighter
    now for your other bollocks....

the second thompson fight was stopped by a doctor due to eubank having a lump the size of a melon on his head
and the first fight was close.
as for it being hayes 5th fight, im not even gonna bother looking it up but if you think he would be let in with an established recognised fighter like thompson you really do know **** all.

I dont recall Tayor getting his ass haned to him in any of his fights..He lost by ko to Pavlik in a fight that he was winning on the cards, and should have won by stoppage in the second round, he drew with Wright.

Here is the thing, Nielson has a great resume in terms of NAMES but he sucked, and that is misleading cuz they were all shot when he fought them..Nielson name dont even come up when talking about great heavyweights...Joe to me is in a like boat. Joe is a far more better fighter and would have actaully beat alot of fighters in the late 1990's but he didnt fight them, and once he started fighting them they were faded and in Jones case totally shot.

No. Is Lennox Lewis a legend? Yes. Is he American? No. Is Tito Trinidad a great? Yes. Is he American? No. Is Manny Pac going to be a legend? Yes. Is he American? No. Is Barbados Joe Walcott a Legend? Yes. Is he American? No. Bob Fitzsimmons is a legend and not American.

I think I have made my point.

you've made **** all points. i was pointing out eubank is a BRITISH BOXING legend which makes it an excellant win for a young fighter like calzaghe was.

No, but Eubank would not qualify regardless. I'm not even sure he's a British boxing legend. However, I'll concede that if Brits want to claim him as one that bad. He's definately not an international boxing legend.

This was not directed at you in any way, shape or form. Mattress said that because he was not American he could not be a legend and I gladly pointed out a few examples for him. Perhaps a decent win but in the grand scheme of things, Eubank was a washed up fighter.

How did the swelling get there? It couldn't have been from Thompson kicking his ass was it?!?!? Point is, if you had any knowledge you would that punches cause swelling. Why are we talking abotu Eubank-Thompson anyway?

Like I said your a numbskull and yu didnt read my post..the point was really the number of fights that haye had, in fact I think that I actaully said two different numbers of fights, and I also said that Haye had more then 5 fights but not many...Maybe you should try pulling your head out and reading some of this stuff and stop making a total ass of yourself.

And stop avoiding the major points that people are making with BS like OH he had more then 5 fights, when i clearly stated that he had more then five fights.
