Apparently, Eubank fighting for the lightly regarded WBO title(A.K.A the Euro title belt back then) right after he lost to Calzaghe is proof that he was still a good fighter.

it seems like no matter how many votes there are the %'s stay the same

    25-75

so basically the stronger opinion is that cazlaghe has the stronger resume

Oh sorry, I was looking at the top 100 Heavyweight prospects. I guess you have nothing to come back with except for emoticons? Are you really laughing?

Calzaghe might have the edge in resume now. Taylor is a young fighter who has the potential to put together a resume that would **** Calzaghe's. Regarding Pavlik vs. Taylor, styles make fights and while Taylor lost Pavlik, Kelly lost Hopkins who in turn lost to Taylor twice.

 @ People trying to discredit Calzaghe's win over Eubank like it was meaningless.

You haters just keep chipping away, don't you? You can't get his '0' so you attack his resume and/or assassinate his character.

    (1) At the time, Calzaghe was greener that the incredible Hulk's bollocks. He was a ****ing novice in professional terms.

    (2) His record was 22.0.0(21) against opposition nowhere near the calibre of Eubank.

    (3) Most of those wins were UNDEMANDING early blowouts: ten in the 1st, six in the 2nd, one in 3rd, two in the 4th, one in the 5th, and one in the 8th.

    (4) He'd only been the distance ONCE against a CW(incidently, against Eubank's cousin) and that was only over 8 x 3s.

    (5) He'd only been past 4 rounds on THREE occasions, and NEVER past 8.

    (6) If you translate that into 'actual time spent in the ring' it works out at less than 160 minutes (probably a little over 2 hours in total because the stoppages were not full rounds).

    (7) Eubank was 42.2.2(23), had fought at a MUCH higher level, and had been the full 12 round distance no fewer than 16 times.

Calzaghe was a ****ing baby, a rank novice compaired to Eubank. So it was a very impressive win for Joe considering the circumstances.

Calzaghe clearly has the better resume at this point.

A great win at the time. In the grand scheme of things, Eubank still was washed up and had to cut 20 pounds in 2 weeks.
