Better Resume: Calzaghe Or Jermain Taylor?

    Unfortunately for Taylor, even if we consider his "wins" over Hopkins as legit you can't erase this shitty performances against Pavlik.

    They hover over him like a dark cloud. It's not as if he lost to a great fighter there, he got his ass kicked by a very ordinary guy.

    Erm, i never said he did. I said he could have easily lost to Wright, though you are correct in pointing out that the B-Hop decisions were also questionable.

    and doesnt have one known fighter on his resume that he has beaten

    All of them were world champions at the weight Calzaghe beat them at. How many of Taylor's opponents can you say that about? Spinks got sparked by Judah at 147 ffs.

    I'm not in the mood right now... but im going to add up calzaghe's opponents records

    what does jermain's taylors losses to pavlik have to do with the strength of his resume?

    atleast you can argue that zab has been in the ring and beaten skilled fighters as opposed to those 3 who were basically paper champions

    Taylor lost to Hopkins at least once,lost to Winky,got beat by Pavlik twice,looked dreadfull with Spinks.His resume ain't even close to Calzaghe's

    I don't know what your definition of "known fighters" is but theres plenty on those 3 records that I recognize as being pretty decent fighters. Either way all three were title holders at 168 and to omit them for Manfredo and Bika leaves you open to critisism of "cooking the books".
