His first fight against a SMW? WTF? I would place the Eubank win higher, i would also place the Jones win higher even though Jones is shot.

Or you left out a third option...Thier arent that good...You failed to mention that Eubank was wiped out in that fight at cruiser by a fighter that wasnt good and was knocked out in his next fight...Also that Mitchell wasnt good and had just lost to Ottke the fight before and was knocked out by a former Jones victim in the fight that followed. Reid to wasnt that good and had lost to Sugar Boy Malinga(yet another Jones victim) just before his fight with Joe, and like the rest lost his fight after his fight with Joe to yet another fighter that wasnt that good...

No I think my knowledge of boxing isnt at question here, I think what is at question is the biased of the people that are making statements like Joes resume is far better then Taylors...It isnt, I would give Joe an edge but as I said its close.

who was eubank wiped out against ? i assume you mean carl thompson who edged ,not wiped out eubank twice and went on to be the only loss on david hayes record?
i also assume you're talking about the sugar boy malinga who also beat nigel benn and who fought a PRIME roy jones. nowif you're saying jones was shot againt calzaghe why the hell bring the prime one up?
and byron mitchell was a worthy adversary in anyones book.

    so you're talking **** fella.

No, it really isn't. Lacy and Hopkins are common opponents, so they cancel each other out. Calzaghe's next best wins after that are Kessler, Jones Jnr and Eubank. Taylor's are Spinks, Ouma and Joppy. After that Calzaghe has ex-world champions like Reid, Brewer, Mitchell and Woodhall. Even if you think they aren't that good they are still a level above the likes of Marquez and Bunema.

My mistake, I was refering to Taylor against Lacy. Anyway, Roy was completely shot and Eubank had to cut 20 lbs. in two weeks. I rate the Lacy win ahead of both of them.

Fair enough, there's not much in it. I don't think it was as much as 20lbs that Eubank had to cut, he was slated to fight at 175lbs not cruiser as someone said earlier in the thread.

Eubank said himself that he had to cut 20 lbs. in two weeks for that fight.

thatll be bigreg talking **** again . he also fails to mention that calzaghe had opponents switched at the last minute as well as eubank . difference was eubank was a clued up veteran used to such disruption and joe was a young up and comer who was suddenly told he'd be facing a british boxing legend with a very tricky style.

Poor preparation on his part then, if what he says is true.

What was he doing weighing 188lbs if he had a fight at 175lbs two weeks away? Poor preparation.
