Vitali ducked ALL, and I mean ALL the best fighters of his generation. It's his brother Vladimir who fought the guys who actually had talent.

So when you look at Vitali's resume, you see big fat plodders like Peter, Arreola, and Solis.

When he first got in the ring with a guy who could box, he got rope-a-doped into submission. The only reason you retire in your corner after nine rounds is that you think you're about to get knocked out. Otherwise, Vitali would have continued. No other explanation has any logic to it. Ali and Abraham both fought to the finish with broken jaws, and got nods by the judges.

Byrd was landing at will and just toying with Vitali. And Vitali quit to avoid getting embarrassed. Byrd offered him a rematch and Vitali ingored him.

After that, the Klitschko team's management decided that from that moment on, Vitali would never again fight an opponent who had any boxing skill or slickness whatsoever. That's why Byrd fought Vlad next, and Chambers, Chagaev, Thompson, Haye and Povetkin fought Vladimir but never Vitali.

And that's why Vitali's resume is so thin and loaded with plodding fat cabbies.

 

And before you mention the two guys that first beat Vlad, let me remind you that both of them were cab drivers who got lucky and caught Vlad when he hadn't prepared properly. Often a great fighter will underestimate his opponent and get knocked out.

Those two losses provided Vitali with golden opportunities to get a lot of credit for beating taxi drivers. Look at their resumes and you'll see that they did nothing other than get lucky once against Vlad. I can't even remember their names.

I may seem like a Vitali hater, but here in Russia he gets ridiculed all the time. Vladimir is respected, but Vitali is considered one of the most stupid people in the world. They make compilations of his stupidity on youtube:

Skip to 2:45 for the English-language portion, but even when he speaks Russian (his native language, since he was born in the USSR) you can tell that he has no idea what he's talking about and can hardly put a thought together.

When you watch him speaking English, you probably think he seems goofy because he's speaking a language he doesn't know completely, but he's a dummy in any language!
