If it's ink, then what does it say? Is it written in Hieroglyphics? Because if it's really ink, it sure does looks like scribble-scrabble to me. But better yet, if it's ink...where is it on this picture... This content is protected Nowhere to be found, right? Any idiot can see the commission's signature is in blue. The inspector was Jack Lazzarotto and you can see he signed off as "Lazz." The black **** you were referring to was threading from the inside of one of Tony's gloves. Which is why it's present on some photos and not evident in others like the one I just posted. So yeah, I'll give you one thing...Margarito's wraps did not actually "crack." But that's not to say they're not suspect either, considering the similarities between these and the ones confiscated prior to the Mosley fight.
atsch Look at the way the mans left hand is turned your not going to see it in that picture allow me to help you here Clip from Cotto Margarito 24/7 episode 1 starts @3:22 in which it shows this ink mark on his wrap just as Margarito was announced the winner HBOs footage not mine. Problem is you Cotto fans are so sore about him quitting you have to look for excuses to justify that quitting. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhnTbpMv7yQ[/ame]
It's close enough if you take away the question marks above Margarito with the plaster. IMO, you can't really 100% say he cheated against Cotto, Clottey, Martinez, and Cintron. I would still give the edge to Cotto, though. . Although that Martinez win really looks good for Margarito - I know Sergio wasn't fully developed yet, but if you watch the fight he really was still a hell of a boxer/mover back then. . Moreover, Margarito was still a newbie as well. . . And Margarito BRUTALLY stopped him - Sergio slumped over almost unconscious on the ropes. . . But overall, edge goes to Cotto - three weight champion (even though I don't rate his belt, and level of opposition fought against @ 154 worth a ****), and has the more solid wins, and performances. . . And while I don't think the plaster can technically be held against margarito in other fights, it's still hard not to look at his career with a cloud over it. . So Cotto FTW.
Once again, if it's ink...what does it actually say? If that was a signature or anything of the sort, it would be pretty evident in that first picture you posted. The video you posted further cements my belief that it was, indeed, threading from inside of the gloves. Also, if it that was ink, don't you think Tony would have mentioned that during the Face-Off when he was asked about that particular photo? Sore? You talk as if Cotto was the one who got exposed as a cheater, lost his final three significant fights in lopsided fashion, and forced into a premature retirement, all the while a cloud lingers over the legitimacy of his entire career. Stop trying to brush you own insecurities off on others.
The link is the commission stating that the fight was legit that Margarito was clean so end of that bull**** right there. And Cotto did lose 3 significant fights, Margarito, Pacquiao and Mayweather. No I do not act as if Cotto was the one exposed as a cheater.. I am just sick of his ***** ass blatantly lying about the fight, This is how I see it. Everybody knows there are two things that are un forgivable in boxing, Quitting and Cheating, Cotto quit, but the moment this scandal broke, Cotto used this scandal to justify his quitting, its a cheap way for him to lie and save face but does not change what happened he lost, not because of cheating but because he got beat the **** down. Nevada has cleared Margarito of any wrong doing, thats a fact. So this means Cotto lost fair and square thats a fact. You all need to accept that loss, its not over turned it never will be he got his ass beat. Regarding the Ink you have to look at my post a few pages back its not and was not meant to be a signature, if you know boxing you know what that is. What that is if you look at the picture, notice the tape in between the fingers? Now look where the ink is, it goes from one strand of tape over the finger/Knuckle Area to the other strand of tape... Why? Well because in boxing Tape is not allowed over the knuckles, so what you have there why that Black INK is there and NOT the Blue INK, is you have an inspector using a felt pen or sharpie to follow the gauze and find Margaritos Knuckle to Ensure that NO tape is over the knuckle area... Which means what? that means someone from Team Cotto was in the dressing room during the time the hands were being wrapped, Who else is going to point out that to the inspector? it was obviously a concern from the Cotto camp you think Margarito is going to have the inspector make sure there is no tape over his knuckle?
Of course the NSAC isn't going to admit to any wrongdoing. To do so, would call in to question their credibility . Margarito was supposedly "cleared" of any misdeeds by men such as Keith Kizer, who are on record as saying they weren't even present when the hand wrapping took place. As far as your "black ink" theory goes, once again...why wouldn't Margarito mention this during the Face-Off? Dude was dumbfounded when asked about the appearance of his hand-wraps, so I guess "he doesn't know Boxing." Better yet, when this night was revisited shortly after the Mosley fight, wouldn't the NSAC have used this as evidence to support their claim that everything was on the up and up? And also, I guess this means the right wrap is suspect since it doesn't have any markings, right?
Well for one, Margarito did after all beat Cotto into a pulp, making him take a knee. If that plaster incident with Mosley never came about, that wouldn't even be questioned for a second. Their first fight was definitely the more significant, meaningful fight, as Cotto was undefeated, and without a doubt at the peak of his career, and the same goes for Margarito. In the rematch, Cotto wasn't prime, but Margarito was the definition of a "shot" boxer. Margarito also was the first to beat Sergio Martinez, and he did it in brutal fashion, rendering Martinez unconscious on his feet, only being supported by the ropes. I know Sergio was still developing, but it was obvious he was still a great boxer at the time; furthermore, Margarito was also very green, and new at the time, as he did not have an amateur career himself, beginning his boxing career at 16. They both had about 4-6 years experience under their belt. Also, Margarito handed Cintron his first, and second loss, both by brutal stoppage. At the time Cintron was a highly rated prospect, and contender. But it's pretty solidly in favor of Cotto. . . Even if his "belt" at 154 was ****, and won against Yuri Foreman (and defended it against Mayorga, and Margarito), he's still a 3-weight champion. He beat Mosley while he was just barely out of his prime. . . And also has Malignaggi (first loss), and a still physically primed Judah. . . So I guess it's not really that close, but it's at least worthy of a thread, and discussion. . Neither is that blue chip level of elite, as they were both handed one-sided defeats to pacquiao, and Cotto got pretty soundly outpointed by Floyd. . .
Why wouldnt Margarito bring this up? The picture this new one did not surface until 24/7 aired which was after the face off, in addition he really didnt know what that mark was, do you think he some how took notes of what the inspectors were doing in the dressin room that night? and regarding the right hand wrap, there are no markings on the knuckle likely because Team Cotto saw that the tape in between the fingers looked fine. it is what it is, Stop being a sore loser about it Margarito beat the man straight up..... Here is the real question, if your boy really felt that Margarito did have loaded gloves why did he insist on Everlast brand only for the rematch? Why did he insist Margarito not use the punchers gloves? its because deep down Miguel does know the truth thats why, if I felt this cat beat me only becuase he cheated I wouldnt give a damn what kind of gloves he used, I wouldnt care where we fought, I wouldnt need Nazim to play last min Mind games and I sure wouldnt Need a Dr to secure my win and believe this had I felt I was cheated like that there is no way I would claim victory with an ending to a fight like that with the man in question talking **** about me in front of my fans..... Your boy got beat fair and square deal with it....
