calzaghe all day. Floyd fought 1 legit welterweight, not good enough.

Obviously Mayweather's resume is much better.

    Old Eubank
    Lacy
    Kessler
    Old Hopkins
    Shot Jones

    vs.

    G. Hernandez
    Corrales
    Jesus Chavez
    Castillo
    Castillo
    Old De la Hoya
    Hatton

What about the other 4 divisions at which he fought? And he did manage to win 2 titles at WW.

It would have been a LOT trickier for Joe to do that;SM-LH-CW-HW(Which is just 4)is different to the few pounds of the lower weights.

    be more specific.

and anyways i don't think Floyd's resume is lightyears ahead of Calzaghe's just better but not by much..

For example Corrales better than Roy Jones? Thats debatable. Roy Jones was shot but Corrales was ****ed up on the night too. Way off his best as he was having many problems outside the ring and it showed.

Gatti better than Lacy thats debatable, Gatti was shot at the time although bigger than Floyd.

Hatton better than Kessler thats also debatable. Floyd also made Hatton move up to WW.

and Floyd has never fought anyone as good as the Hopkins that Calzaghe beat.

Oscar was shot and inactive but much bigger.

Castillo was pretty much on par with Mayweather at 135.

Hernandez' best win was an SD on a 39 year old Azumah Nelson where he almost got ktfo. Oscar completely destroyed him years before Floyd did in his last fight.

Put it this way, Calzaghe probably challenged himself more in say, 2 individual fights - Hopkins and Kessler.

Looking at it that way, they were harder fights for Calzaghe than any fight Mayweather took, if that makes sense. However, that is partly due to Mayweathers superiority as a fighter.

In a nutshell, PBF's resume shits on Calzaghe's. His resume is deep, just lacks a couple of career defining wins that make an old school great.

Would of been even better if he fought as long as Calzaghe did.
