Guererro is a solid B-level fighter. He was picked by aging mayweather to make him look good, due to the difference in speed and boxing ability. Thurman did exactly what he had to do against an overmatched opponent, and despite being a solid win, it doesn't put him above GGG.
why? he was a lightweight who went up and beat Berto, Murray should have been champ, but was robbed vs Sturm while also losing a razor thin decision to Martinez. How is beating Berto, who has never fought an elite opponent other wordly, or even a display of advanced competence at welter?
It's pretty close up to this point. Murray might be the best fighter on either guys resume, but guys like soto Karass, Diego Chaves and Guerrero are good scalps for an up and coming fighter like Thurman. Pretty close and both have similar KO percentages also. Both are very entertaining, no doubt.
You can't be serious, guys. You overhyping Thurman's opposition way too much. Even experts consider him and his resume equivalent to and up and coming fighter but not as of THE MAN in the devision. GGG's resume in MW is second to only Martinez among contemporaries. Needless to say that MW is perceived as a thin shitty division due to an absence of bright US and Mexican fighters. Europeans are all considered bums unless in a division ruled by local stars, look at 168: it's considered strong, however, if it wasn't Ward who ruled it but say GGG, it would have been considered weak as shit. Look, even Bumdini was considered a good solid top opponent for Keith AFTER the fight but BEFORE the fight he was a clear definition of a Eurobum by americans (it's funny to hear hear/watch YTBC sources before and after the fight to observe the shift in perception). Why? because he fought a local star, that's why.
Kassim Ouma , Geale are at the same level as Guerrero. And GGG destroyed both, while "run time" struggled to get a single knockdown, then felt sorry for it... Did i mention too how many times he got hit clean ?
Unfortunately you don't seem capable of having an intellectual debate, considering how you keep returning to repeat the same things over and over again, disregarding any attempt to view them objectively.
