Chavez was losing to Willy Wise at that age and being Zoo's sacrificial lamb.

Can you imagine how easy it would be for Mayweather to sit at 140lbs and clean out some of the division?

And we all know that some fighters are washed up by 25 and others are going strong at 35. Means nothing. Being in your prime as a fighter doesnt corolat with age. Every fighter is different but I'm sure you already know that

True, some fighters are dedicated and stay in shape year round while others drown in tequila between fights.

I have no problems with people padding records if they're fighting the best. Chavez may have fought 6 journeymen a year to keep busy but he also smashed up champions and contenders with alarming frequency too.

Floyd was definitely imperious in terms of his approach as he got older. But he still faced consistently good and occasionally great opponents throughout his career. Plus, I think top to bottom his championship resume is better than JCC's at 130, which is the only division where there's a direct comparison btx the two.

    Agree to disagree, eithe way.

He killed someone in the ring and has mild pugilistic dementia.

Yea but according to your way of thinking as long as your in shape you can keep going. There goes your argument. Alot of other guys who were in shape wore out at a young age Sean O'Grady comes to mind. Always in shape. Yes I'm quite aware or Ray as I'm one of his bigger fans on here.

I just find it weird that, as a grown man, you're reluctant to give Mayweather credit for spending more time on pfp lists than any other fighter, ever, as if it happened because his number was called in bingo.

Chavez actively harmed his career with lifestyle issues. Mayweather prolonged his. It's one of many differences separating a great fighter from a best of a generation fighter.

I won’t compare resumes...but I wonder if there will be current or future fighters to have 100 plus wins. Pacquiao has about 71 total fights...

I cannot fathom it today. 89-0 74KOs before your first loss. That is dedication. That someone like Pacquiao is still fight and still a top ten p4p fighter speaks volumes about him as well. He might be the last of that breed.

I don't mind giving FM credit. Hes a great fighter.
Better than JCC? Not IMO. But your getting off your original statement that a fighters longevity is determined solely on lifestyle and I gave you 2 cases off the top of my head that disproves that. Its ridiculous.

Sorry, but at this point I'll take Pac and Canelo over Taylor and Rosario.
