If I were him, I'd have some kind of mural on my bedroom wall in tribute to myself for such an achievement. The funny thing is I bet John Ruiz doesn't even know anything about the great Julius Francis except that he got walloped by Mike Tyson and the famous "The Mirror" sponsorship on the sole of his shoes. I'll stop derailing the thread now.
That's not a category. What you are pushing is simply your opinion on all fights results being equal in regards to a win of any sort. That's the simplistic take I suppose. Boxing isn't that simple.
boxing isn’t that simple of course. Ruiz won ugly, lost more, don king political wins, vitali won more impressively. That’s why I’m making this thread as simple as possible by adding a better quality wins and resume. Not how they won, why they lost etc. If Ruiz can beat Rahman and 38 year old holy he can beat arreola etc. I genuinely believe Ruiz has better quality wins and they are both two time champs.
The Rahman win is better than anything vitali has. Also, if 38 year old sanders is a good win, why isn’t a 38 year old Holyfield a good win?
close fight, Ruiz badly rocked Johnson and was on his way to stopping him. He was down and did over react to fouling.
HOW they won is a part of the quality of the win FFS. How in the world do you not get that? So beating Rahman and an old Holy means you can beat Arreola?! Wow.. that's the worst attempt at reasoning I've seen in a while.
Tell me what win vitali has that is better than Rahman, undefeated Johnson, 38 year old holy? well I can’t be that off the mark, as Ruiz isn’t far off vitali in the opinion poll. If i put up ruiz against wlad, Ruiz wouldn’t get a single vote. seriously, vitali doesn’t have a win near as good as the three mentioned above
would you rather have a 38 year old Holyfield or 38 year old sanders on your resume? Rahman (who kod sanders too) or peter?
I had Golota winning the Ruiz fight, too. However, I have no idea how anyone could give Holyfield the decision in the second Ruiz fight. That's like saying you had Holyfield winning the Toney fight. Ruiz beat up Holyfield, dropped him and won a wide unanimous decision. Holyfield even lost points for fouling. Giving that fight to Holyfield would've been totally illogical. If you had Evander winning the second fight, I'd love to see your scorecard.
