Who do you think has the better record? I know the first SLR win was the best of Duran's career and the best of the two but overall who do you think?

Tough Decision for me but I picked Chavez. Duran is a better fighter though. It could go either way for me personally.

Can someone name Chavez' best wins?

    I doubt it's better than Duran's from 130 to 160:

    Ken Buchanan
    Ernest Marcel
    Hiroshi Kobayashi
    Esteban de Jesus 2x
    Hector Thompson
    Guts Ishimatsu
    Ray Lampkin
    Edwin Viruet 2x
    Saoul Mamby
    Vilomar Fernandez
    Carlos Palomino
    Joseph Nsubuga
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Pipino Cuevas
    Davey Moore
    Iran Barkley

Duran by a quarter mile. Chavez could have been great had King not got a hold of him.

I had to go with Duran.

Chavez's best wins were Taylor, Rosario, Roger Mayweather (twice), Rocky Lockridge and Juan Laporte. Camacho was a very good name but was way past his best when Chavez easily beat him.

I didn't list Randall because Chavez basically stole that controversial win.

That's a very good list, but Duran winning titles is 4 weight classes is just too much.

Duran has a better resume than Chavez even if he never fought above 147.

How on God's green earth would Chavez have a better resume than Duran? This question makes no sense to me. What is Chavez best win or second best win?

Yeah, absolutely no comparison. Better question might be Chavez v. Arguello, maybe.

This is how I see it. They both were among the best to ever lace them up.

Nsubuga was not one of his best opponents.

That fight was just Duran getting his feet wet at 147 lbs.
