Honestly lets get some real options here...Ive been seeing these nonsense threads...Why is cottos resume so great??...I personally believe Margarito has faced better quality opponents and yet i see these Cottos resume is so great threads....They'Ve basically fought the same top level opponents except for Paul Williams where i believe Margs edges him out....Yeah Mosley destroyed Margs but i also believe Mosley edged out Cotto.....Just an observation....And yeah i think both fighters are great for boxing..... I just dont understand the desperation.

    Opinions.

    Cotto defeated-Torres-Malignaggi-quintana-Judah-Mosley-Clottey

    Margarito defeated-Martinez-Lewis-Cintron-Clottey-Cotto

it's pretty close but since margarito has been caught cheating a lot of those wins are questionable.

Exactly Margarito wins are easily questionable. Cotto never got caught cheating. But even if Margarito never cheated, i don't think his resumes is better then Cotto. Cotto beats fighters like Pauile, Corley, power puncher Torres. At 147 Cotto beat Quintana in his first fight at 147 pounds and then beat Judah, Mosley, Clottey. Margarito beat Martinez when Martinez wasn't even ready for a big fight. Lewis was already destroyed when he fought Mayorga. But like i said Margarito resumes is easily questionable.

    Cotto.

Let's assume that Margarito beat Cotto fair and square without the wraps, which I think is utter bull**** and I would change every single victory Margarito ever had to a NC.

Cotto has beaten Mosley, Judah, Malignaggi, Quintana, Chop Chop, Maussa and Clottey, with one loss to Margarito.

Margarito has beaten Cotto, Clottey, Cintron
With losses to Mosley, Williams, Santos (won't count his youth fights)

Add in the doubt surrounding the legality of Margarito's win over Cotto and it shades his resume further.

Polls suck. They usually don't say the truth.

The best thing to do is make a comparison of resumes.

    **** the resume.

It is only relevant when the two have never fought head to head. They did, and Margo put his ****in face through a meatgrinder. The next time Cotto wins a big fight at 147 away from MSG will be his first. **** him.

    Margarito has beat:

    Miguel Cotto (WBA champ)
    Kermit Cintron (IBF champ)
    Joshua Clottey (Defense)
    Kermit Cintron (Defense)
    Sebastian Lujan (Defense)
    Hercules Kyvelos (Defense)
    Andrew Lewis (Defense)
    Antonio Diaz (Defense)
    Frankie Randall (Defense)

Those guys would liekly beat Judah, Malignaggi, Maussa, and Corley with the exception of Kyvelos.

What you think or believe doesnt matter, but only to yourself... On paper Cotto's resume is superior... Some might believe Margarito use plaster against Cotto, but there isn't any facts to that... You believing Cotto lost to Mosley is just your opinion as well, not a fact... The facts are the facts and it seems you are only concentrating on Cotto's opponents at 147... You should not forget Cotto was also a force at 140 defeating many top 10 opponents and former champs at that division... :good

Cotto by a mile. And BTW, Joshua Clottey has already stated that Cotto was a far better fighter than Margarito and stronger when he was asked.
