Minority in fact...ESB is def a Cotto fan base center with Pac fans a close second....Cotto is a good boxer and i watch all his fights im just not fooled by the lampleys and such nahmean?...Emmanuel steward seems to be the only one keeping it real with the commentating....But you know...Anyway i do get your points but to define greatness you need quality wins out side home turf just ask Calzaghe.:deal

I understand about the home turf, but if it was like that then many ATG would not have quality wins if that was the case. Boxing will always have this issue. It would always be a sport of pride and race. Mexicans almost always tend to fight in the West Coast (Texas, Cali, Nevada) Puerto Ricans ( NY, NJ, or even Connecticut) Cubans in Florida, and the examples keep on. Marketing and where a fight would do better esp. economical wise are one of the main concerns of the promoting team. Clottey for example doesnt have a large fan base, so why have a fight in Cali, doesnt make sense at all or even bring Chavez Jr to MSG. Don't get me wrong I understand what you are saying, but I once was looking it at the same way you were and I was wrong. At then end of the day the two opponents are the ones in the ring and they know what is at stake. I'll be the first to support you, if you will like to become a promotor and take these fights to other countries so the fans would have no influence. Cotto vs Manny in S.Africa or Gamboa to fight in Argentina... Or lets just take all the fights to Japan. Or simply have a fight with no fans, just the two fighters and their teams and the judges, empty arena, get the point:D

I guess i'll quit trying:lol: doesnt hurt trying though, sometimes we become blind, esp. when its about boxing. I love boxing and tell Dana White to shut up. I just had to get that out of my system, lol. I love being a boxing fan.

I don't see how you could pick Margarito to be honest. Those poll results surprises me, even at 72-13.

    Margarito has beat:

    Miguel Cotto (WBA champ)
    Kermit Cintron (IBF champ)
    Joshua Clottey (Defense)
    Kermit Cintron (Defense)
    Sebastian Lujan (Defense)
    Hercules Kyvelos (Defense)
    Andrew Lewis (Defense)
    Antonio Diaz (Defense)
    Frankie Randall (Defense)

Dude, it doesn't even freaken matter now...because all of these fights are questionable !
He will go down as the cheat and un classy guy that he is, nonetheless, I still admire his determination and will to keep fighting.

I think it should be a lot closer than the poll suggests, minus the possibility/conjecture that Margarito cheated in all his wins. Now that Cotto has avenged his loss I'd have him ahead with his overrall body of work and taking into account other legacy impacting factors such as multiple weight titles, title fight/big fight record and significant losses.
