He gets very little credit from the CHavez victories though, at least from me.

Add to that that ODLH fought the best available (in his prime) and I think it is a no brainer.

 

Roy Jones Jr by a mile and a half.

I prefer Roy Jones' top tier of wins when you seperate it down like that. There isn't the same depth, but they look better to me considering the condition of Chavez, Whitaker (who I don't think he even beat) and Camacho.

 

Difficult one for me this. Oscar has more quality opposition but in terms of best wins I'd say Jones. For that reason I'll sit on the fence.

 

Depends on what you like. Roy has the better wins but Oscar beat more big names. I'll go with Roy.

I really don't see how Jones' best wins are better than Oscar either. An extremely green Hopkins, and a weight drained James Toney who was also outboxed by the likes of Montell Griffin twice, Drake Thadzi, and David Tiberi (a horrible robbery).

 

Well, what is Oscar's best two wins to compare against?

 

Because of his style of fighting I go with Oscar on this one. Im not one of these people who bought into the whole "RJJ is the best boxer ever" ****.

 

Hopkins was the best middleweight at the time (besides Roy) and Toney was the best super middleweight. And Roy beat them decisively. Oscar beat a shot Chavez, an aging Whitaker and went life and death against Quartey. Vargas and Camacho are good wins.
