    jones was more talented but de la hoya clearly fought the better fighters

    when looking at names conquered, even w/o including Mosley II, I say DLH.

    However, Oscar - sized as a welterweight - winning a .mw crown does not compare to RJJ, sized IMO as a big super-mw / small LHW in terms of statue ((not mass)), winning a Heavyweight title!

    Plus there's the fact that RJJ in his prime was far beyond everyone he could have fought at the time. Whilst Oscar was still given pretty competitive fights from ppl in and around his weight-classes.

    Was the talentpool much more shallow towards RJJ's end of the scale? Absolutely.
    But in his prime, he was damn near Mr. Untouchable... --- no-one had a genuinely competitive fight with him. Same can't be said for Oscar.

    It is close when you take ALL things related to context into consideration.
