Nah Bruno was decent but not that good. Bruno has a good chance against Wilder although his chin would be a serious issue against Wilder's power and old Klitschko would spark Bruno out.

Bruno was never great and was limited but he was a level above the very limited and flawed Wilder.

Bruno was overhyped by the British press. He was an earlier version of Joshua, all muscle, iffy skills.

Wlad would bomb him out as would Wlider. Bruno beat some names that were well past it.

At this point in time Bruno had faced better fighters and champions but let’s wait until Fury’s career is over.

Judging this line up vs Fury's it's clear, Bruno fought the far better overall caliber of fighters.

Bruno fought the better men, but Fury has beaten the better men which is what really matters here. If we're ignoring results and just focussing on the names as the be all and end all of a 'resume', then we may as well put Amir Khan down as one of the greatest British fighters ever. He's fought Ring Magazine champions, PPV superstars and pound for pound candidates, after all. Never mind that they've all beaten him.

Love him or loathe him, Fury elevated himself above Bruno the moment he became the bona fide, generally-accepted champion by beating Wladimir, as opposed to Bruno who was never more than a mere titlist (whose reign lasted three rounds). If people want to argue that Wilder's ten (or whatever it was) WBC defences flattered him, and that he'd never have racked up as many defences in bygone eras, then fine, I won't argue against that too strenuously. But nevertheless Bruno never took apart a big-punching, unbeaten fighter of comparable ability the way Fury did in that second fight, nor come through a wild brawl on the biggest stage the way he did in the third. Fury has had success and shown his mettle at the very top / big time of the division in a way which Bruno never could.
