Better Resume - Whitaker or Cesar Chavez?

    By the way Clancy had been hunting for Whitaker to lose since he handled Buddy McGirt, who Clancy had a hard-on for at the time. He almost slipped into depression during the second half of Pea-Buddy II :lol:

    I only included wins thus Chavez/WhitakerI and Whitaker/RamirezI is out. Mayweather was at his very best the night he had the Chavez rematch, and although Chavez probably was slightly past his best, he still won and won well, thus the 8.

    If we look at their careers as a whole, taking out the fights I marked, you are right, it would a landslide with my way of scoring; to Chavez; he probably met more world class fighters/contenders/fringe contenders than Whitaker had fights.

    Both were greats, both were brilliant in their prime, it is just Chavez was so ever so slightly greater IMO.
