Holyfield vs Bowe 1 no contest. Joshua vs Ruiz had the brief excitement when they traded knockdowns. But outside of that it was a very one sided round with Joshua just looking to survive the entire round after being floored. Holyfield vs Bowe 1 was a much more competitive round and fought at a much higher level.
The "weight" of the Holyfield Vs Bowe fight is also much higher. It is a fight for the lineal and undisputed HW champion, while the fight of AJ Vs. Ruiz is not that; neither.
The historical significance of the Holyfield-Bowe round was of course far greater and both Holyfield and Bowe went into that fight undefeated. But the Ruiz-Joshua round was a classic in as much as there were 3 knockdowns.
Bowe vs Holyfield 1 by far I've always thought Tua vs Ibeabuchi was overrated honestly. Whilst Tua vs Ibeabuchi is a good fight don't get me wrong, there was no real drama in the fight no one was visibly hurt so there was no standout rounds or moments in the fight for me.
Bowe/Holy 10 was one of the single greatest rounds in the history of boxing......................round 3 of Joshua/Ruiz was not. Very good round/entertaining but there's a number I can put ahead of it. This ain't even really all that close TBH
A better comparison to Holyfield vs Bowe 1 round 10 would have been Holmes vs Norton round 15. Those are 2 iconic HW rounds. This content is protected
