Seems life like half of the fans have different opinions about this. some say mathysse is faster and throws the shorter punches (me incluced) others say garcia, same about speed and overall skills. Lets get it straight... who has the better speed? technique and skills?
Better speed: Even Better tech: Garcia (Balance, guard ect...) Better skills: Garcia (Danny is more textbook than LM) That said when LM can basically KO you from the southpaw stance in a counterpunch... ^**** like that can't be taught (Because its not considered conventional boxing) LM's punching power also something that has to be appreciated. It's going to be a good one.
I think Garcia has faster hands, Technique Mattysse, overall skills Garcia. Only thing is Garcia is flat footed and doesnt move well and his defense isn't anything special, so he will be trading with Mattysse a lot and looking for counter's but will probably get KO'd in the process.
Garcia has more conventional technique, I think Mathysse has more skills. Mathysse has advantages in combination punching, upper body movement, steady advancement on the front foot, and variety of punches. Garcia has advantages in balance, counter-punching, speed, and rolling inwards to land shots over the top. They're about equal when it comes to their guard, control of distance, body punching, and power.
Speed - Lucas Skills - Lucas Technique - Garcia more textbook it seems Worth also mentioning that Lucas has better defence and straighter and more varied punches (something Danny is vulnerable to).
Mathysse for sure. He doesn't look pretty doing his work in the ring, but the small, subtle things he applies is what makes him the favorite to win tonight. He sets up traps pretty well
to my eye garcia looks like a robot in the ring, hes timing is good as long as his feet are planted. speed seems about the same maybe the adge to mathy,
