Better Striker: Aldo or Anderson?

Tough one........For now, I will say Anderson.

 

Id have to say Jose

 

AS is more unpredictable and explosive while JA uses the fundamentals more. If they were the same size, it would be an interesting fight.

 

Aldo is more technically proficient, ie more orthodox fundamentals.

Anderson is more unpredictable and unorthodox.

Ultimately, I go with Anderson over any other active fighter. When he drops his hands and starts unloading, he is supernatural. Aldo may throw better textbook legkicks etc, but Anderson's reflexes, accuracy and power are superior.

I voted for Silva as he has acomplished more but the correct answer is probably Aldo

Although both are blessed with exceptional reflexes, speed and power, I think Anderson's style could only work for Anderson.

Id like to see more MMA fighters adopt the same fundamentals that Jose utilises. I dont think we'll see too many fighters kodding people with fade away jabs and elbow uppercuts like Silva. But MMA would improve a helluva lot as a spectacle if people were able to be so effective in the pocket as Aldo is

 

And the counters, and the seamless kick punch combos, beautiful to watch

 

I think Aldo is much more fundementally sound, Anderson makes a lot of mistakes that see him tagged, and because of that I think he potentially would have many more issues with a truly top class striker than Aldo would.

 

Both are amazing to watch when they turn up the gas. I think Silva is like the Prince Naseem of MMA though. He looks amazing vs average fighters but, he'd have trouble vs a skilled and orthodox fighter.

I would say Aldo's leg kicks are ****ing perfection and the best in the sport. His hands aren't nearly as impressive.
