Yeah, definitely purely better strikers there were better in MMA......I mean, technically, even Toney should be considered a Top striker because of his pure skills.....
But like I said about Semmy Schilt......many of these guys were not relevant in MMA to we consider them in those discussions you know.....that´s what I meant with this comparison, Cro Cop and AS are MMA Legends.....

Cro Cop´s opposition in PRIDE was tougher than the MW division of today....and especially in terms of strikers he faced the better ones.....

Yet the two fighters you mention aren't even competing against the best in MMA.. They haven't proven anything within the sport.

Anderson Silva is the best technical striker in MMA History.. Do you know what "MMA History" means? Or is??

You don't become the best striker in MMA because you won a Muay Thai championship, that's ridiculous.

There is always an excuse as to why Anderson Silva isn't #1.. Whether it be Fedor was passed his prime, and had too much activity outside of MMA, or Cro Cop was passed his prime, and his time in K1 limited his success in Mixed Martial Arts.. Or in this case Cro Cop faced tougher opposition.

Cro Cop and Silva are the same age, 4 fights within each other, and entered The UFC at around the same time.. If Cro Cop is such a badass, wouldn't he of been able to handle The UFC HW roster??

I could argue that Anderson Silva faced the better opposition in The UFC since 9 of them have been #1 contenders, but next you'll probably say Cro Cop was passed his prime by the time he entered The UFC :-((

Wait Bob. My argument is not that Cro Cop is better or greater than AS.....in ONE aspect IMO Cro Cop was better. In his Striking Skills. And I said he faced better opposition (especially strikers) than AS.....

AS is a greater MMA fighter (obviously) because he is much better than CC in the rest of the attributes...and he is a dominant champion like CC never was.....but that is another discussion......

Bobi mate I'm getting a bit sick of you missing the point every ****in time!!!! I wrote a fair and reasoned freindly response to your 1st knee jerk reaction.

The original bit I responded to is the the green bit which says technical right?!

The purple bit is your bit that says the best striker right?

All I'm saying for ****'s sake is that there are techically better strikers in the MMA world than Silva even though he is the apparent ATG god of MMA.

To say Silva is a better striker than a guy like Rambaa is pure fight game ignorance of the most supreme kind. Do you know anything about striking?????:-(

Since Cro Cop faced better oppostion, better strikers in Pride FC, why was he getting KTFO time after time by UFC HWs?

Past Prime Cro Cop, actually shot......we know that.
Yeah, he wasn´t old by age, but that´s the way it is to some fighters, they become shot with a normal age, MMA is not the only sport where this happen......

    That's right. :good

Alot of top strikers try their luck in MMA once they're done at elite level, just look waht's going on with Buakaw. The need to make dough outways the need to save face. (Look at Cro Cop's last performance in K1 rising a few months ago :-().

I wouldn't even mind seeing Anderson taking on Manhoef. I think it would be interesting, but Anderson could easily take it to the mat if he felt the need, and he could also very well knock Melvin out.

Like I said, there is always an excuse. Prime CC got punched out by Randleman in their first go round', and borankk has the nerve to mention the Sonnen fight.

Aw, I wouldn´t call an excuse, it´s pretty clear....Huge achievement by Randleman at that time. Still is big to his resume that win.

Just my opinion, Anderson destroys Crocop. It may have been close at Crocops very peak but I cant see it any other way.

Bait me all you want Bobi mate, but the mighty Gods of War who watch over us all must be rolling about in the clouds with laughter after they heard you say Silva is a better stiker than Rambaa and Yodsanan!

Rambaa probably had arounnd 60 pro MT fights (striking by the way Bobi) by the age of 16 which as I understand it was when Mr Silva first donned a pair of Muay Thai shorts as a hobby!
