Since the dawn of gloved Heavyweight boxing, only one country has at any given had a better top ten fighters than the USA, what country was that?

Since Figg invented the modern sport, no one, outside a Brit entered the ratings until Bill Richmond et al. A Century of dominance, that is unlikely to be beaten...

    Yep, bang on.
Jackson, Slavin, Goddard, Fitz, Lees, Farnan, Hall, O'Donnell, Laing and Dooley make some top 10 from 1885-94 with Creedon, Sullivan and more as back-up.

You dont hear Dooley's name thrown around too much, which is a shame, apparently he was an excellent technition and highly regarded in his time.

I've been told a story that Foley set up a spar between Griffo and Dooley. The motive behind the spar was for Griffo to recieve a bit of a touch up in an effort to humble Young Griffo's growing ego. After three rounds of not being able land a glove on Griffo, Dooley spat the dummy and stormed out of Foley's
