    Totally agree!

And in addition to those two wins, he had one more which I thought he lost (Dirrell).

On paper Froch's wins probably look better but when you break down what actually happened in the fights and where the opponents were in their careers I got to give a slight edge to Calzaghe. Froch was basically 10 seconds away from losing to Taylor and IMO lost clearly to Dirrell. Plus there is a common opponent (Kessler) who Calzaghe actually beat.

Are you guys not aware that Calzaghe-Hopkins was at 175lbs?

This thread is about their comp at 168lbs.

    You STILL hating on Calzaghe?

    Get over it man

He was a ****ing phenominal fighter, probably the best British fighter in our era. I had my doubts, but after he whooped Lacy, then turned around a losing fight with a prime and formidable Kessler, i never questioned him again

You should be proud of him instead of nitpicking like a little *****

Triangle theory is proven not to work, I agree.

But if you look at both fighters, look at their relative skill level, then you can know everything you need to know by looking at their respective performances against Kessler.

    Not always, no.

But If fighter A (Calzaghe) beats fighter B (Kessler) who beaths fighter C (Froch) this suggests fighter A is better than fighter C. If their overall resume, achievements and performences in the ring suggests the same thing, the triangle is relevant.

Calzaghe, but just barely. I think Frochs win over Johnson is little to brag about. Johnson is old and was beaten in his prime by a fighter that lost to Calzaghe. And Dirrell, despite his assumed talent, have done little.

But if Froch somehow beat Ward (dont think he will) he will be ahead.

Don't be a ****ing imbecile. Debating who has the better smw resume between the two best British smw's of the past 15 years is obviously not "hating". I'd expect better from you than this childish ******ed bull****. :-(

Calzaghe. Even though his best win was against an injured Kessler it still has the depth. Froch picking up some of his best wins on foreign soil ups his resumé but IMO not enough to surpass that of stay-at-home Joe's.

Calzaghe for now, I think froch is getting close though.

Will the verdict change if Froch wins against Ward?
