Everyone's talking about a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather and Miguel Angel Cotto. There's no doubt that this is a highly anticipated fight for hard core fans ... For various reasons the boxing public wants this fight to do down. We all have our opinions of what both fighters can do ... their accomplishments ... and how the fight will pan out. There hasn't been much talks about the teams of the two ... on one hand you have trainer Evangelista Cotto who is the uncle of Miguel and has trained him his whole career. His experience goes as far as Miguel's experience - he does a great job of preparing Cotto for his biggest fights and guided him to victory against Zab Judah and Shane Mosley. Then you have Uncle Roger ... 2-time world champion ... and proven trainer in the bizz. He's been training his nephew or been in his corner for all of his 12 years as a pro ... he's been the only consistant thing in Floyd's corner and does a good job to prepare Floyd for big fights. When these two master minds go head to head who do you guys think has the edge?

kinda difficult to say,i mean besides floyd who has roger trained that went to the elite same with evangelista so overall i would have to break them off even.
I know Roger has too much practical knowledge and perfect synchrony with his nephew. I guess that when Floyd fought Bruseles ( and Evangelista was in the other corner), he started acting and playing around with Roger for the cameras... Then, they are so relaxed and cool for any fight - Roger Mayweather smiling at girls at ringside ( check it up in the Castillo-Mayweather rematch and in their ring entrance, Roger in light blue) and Miguel is always too much focused it seems... Evangelista tells him that Shane is desperate in the late rounds and we all know that he wasn't - maybe Evangelista can't tell if Shane was or maybe he can tell but doesn't do much to keep Miguel on the right path... Either way, Miguel Diaz is of great help and he was in Mayweather's corner when Jeff and Floyd Sr were there.
