Better victories: Pac over Morales and Barrera or Floyd over Chico and Castillo

I'll give give you the obvious answer to your question; Pac's wins over Morales and Barrera are better than Floyd's over Chico and JLC.

Why?

Because MAB and EM are (much?) better fighters. And Floyd was very lucky to get the decision against JLC.

 

Chico Corrales has a 'legacy?'

 

I dont even have to look at the results to know were this vote will be...Its really a no brainer. Morales was 1-5 in his last six fights his only win??? Vs Pac. Erik was clearly a shot fighter when fighting the three fights with Pac. MAB wasnt as shot but clearly past his prime, and even admitted that he wasnt as hungry as a fighter anymore. None of that matters though. Really those wins arent even as impressive as Calzaghe over Jones and Hopkins.

With Floyd vs Chico what you had was two prime undefeated fighters going at it. It was at the time the big fight in boxing the fight that everyone wanted to see.

With floyd vs Castillo it was a case of Floyd going after the MAN at the next weight up. Not a shot past his prime former great fighter.

Now in the history of boxing its no doubt that MAB and Morales will go down as much greater fighters then Chico and Castillo but at the times that the fights were fought its also no doubt which fighters were the harder to beat, and were better.

Hate blinds, its not even close which were the better wins.

Chico was good entertainment, and a solid 'B' class fighter.

The idea that he has a 'legacy' is a bit of a leap though.

He was not a great fighter, or particularly significant in a 'history of boxing' sense.

 

One could make that statement NOW, but at the time no one was saying that. Arum even said "Chico is going to knock Floyd out, then I wont have to deal with him anymore"

Also keep in mind that People also said that Hopkins was a solid b level fighter when he murdered Tito..Opinions of people that have other motives arent really that important

Morales beat Pacquaio the first time and was coming off a loss when he rematched him.

The Barrera fight was huge, but if Pac would of beat Morales the first time I could see people picking Pac but he didn't.
