That was at junior middle. Oscar came to the ring against Floyd weighing at least 160. He was 145lbs on fight night v Pacquiao.

    Try harder.

Odds were only 2-1 for Oscar.

And whatever Dawson accomplished, it was 175. He didn't even have a CW tuneup like DLH.

The final odds are all that matters.

    Pac's win is greater.

    1. Pac was coming up two weight classes after just one fight north of 130.
    2. DLH was favored
    3. Ward was favored

I am really hard pressed to see how anyone can say Ward had the better win unless you use the benefit of extended hindsight.

That also represented a passing of the torch from one mega star to the next, multi-million dollar earners.

No disrespect to Ward, his win was ****ing brilliant!

But I just can't see saying he had a better win in any context.

dawson is a bit overrated. he is coming off a win over an aging bhop. and at his cuurent age, he was seen as the underdog against ward. oscar was the heavy favorite where 19 out of 20 press rows picked oscar to put a beating over the 130/135 pounder pac.

people kept saying that oscar was a zombie at 147, but i was wondering if oscar came in at 154 will the results any different. we tend to forget that pac at his physical prime and came in the best shape possible. he looks like a universal soldier at that fight 'against oscar. pac is just too fast for oscar that night darting in and out avoiding oscar's dreaded left hook. we also tend to forget why oscar went down in weight early so he could gain speed against pac. of course, it backfired. but the big question really still is at 154 will oscar be able to catch pac. will he be able to pull the trigger? will oscar still have the stamina on the latter rounds to match pac?

he chose that weight, he thought he could match pac's speed at that weight, and isn't he the one who called pac? because of GBP, Top Rank and Pac's issue?

    Ward over Dawson by far.
