so pac's performance was not brilliant?

 

People really need to think back to when Pacquaio/De La Hoya was announced. Most were fearing for Pacquaio's safety let alone thinking he could win. Even the thought of them making the fight seemed ridiculous.

 

Ward's win was better and I don't think its close.

Just because Pacquiao was a bigger underdog it doesn't mean anything because fortunately we have this thing called hindsight. The bookies didn't know how shot and how ****ed up Oscar would be at the weight, now we know so the odds pre fight are irrelevant.

 

going into the fight i was afraid i would be $200 poorer.. good thing pac's a monster. :happy

 

that's the point i am trying to make. if oscar came in at 154 would he be able to handle pac's speed? pac was super super prime at that night. it was his night just like when he pulverized barerra.

 

All true though,gets credit with Barrera but lets be honest bout the rest. Hatton good performance,but already KO'd by Floyd... David Diaz for the 140 title right,even Lampley said that was a cherry and he loves Pac..

 

How is it brilliant when your opponent is already past his prime and is coming down in a weight he had not made in a very long time that made him miscalculate how to diet/train down so he didn't come in overweight which ended up making him a walking corpse.

How is that brilliant?

If this was a Prime Oscar that Shane fought or even Oscar at JrMW, where he was "healthy," YES, then it would be more impressive...especially Prime.

OK, maybe brilliant on Team Pac's part for getting Oscar to agree to come down in weight...yeah...that's strategy. However, when you think about it, never mind because it's not hard to fool most of these fighters because they continually neglect learning from boxing history. History that Roach thought would be on his side and afterwards started to name-drop name after name of fighters from the past that failed to do the same; failed to come back down in weight and win.




Pac vs. MAB was impressive and quite brilliant. Brilliant in a destructive way. Oscar, no way.

 

Pac fans act like he was in his prime,at least Dawson was still a top contender..
