Both put on great performances that they were not expected to do let alone win. Who had the better win though?

Froch just stood there and fought a gun shy Abraham Whilst Calzaghe was ducking and weaving and countering against a game Lacy however Abraham in my eyes is the better fighter, is a tad confusing.......what do you guys think?

Froch is my favourite fighter but I feel Calzaghe gave Lacy a more sustained beating although his opponent wasnt as much of a danger as Abraham IMO. Calzaghe edges it for me.

Abraham had just been beaten/outclassed by Dirrell.

Lacey was hyped up to be the next big thing, he was going to knock Calzaghe out. The majority had Lacey as the favourite, including the British media, British Boxing experts, pundits...everyone.

Not only is the Calzaghe victory over Lacey better than Froch over Abraham...it was an all-round better, and more dominant performance. Although I still think Froch's win is a great win, well seen as Abraham was going to knock him out.

Calzaghe's it was a complete domination over a fighter some were rating in the top10 P4P. Lacy was ruined by the beating, he wasnt that good to start with but he was completely ruined. Abraham was nothing special himself, decent titlist

I think I'd give the edge to Froch. Calzaghe's performance was more dominant and I'd rather watch that fight on video, but for me Abraham is a better fighter than Lacy so it is a more impressive achievement for Carl. I expected Joe to whip Lacy, I did not expect Froch to win every single round vs Abraham - far from it.

 The opinion of clueless morons shouldn't really factor here. Omar Sheika anyone?

Joe Cal dismantled Sheika with ease, Lacy goes life and death with Sheika, and people were surprised when Calzaghe creamed Lacy??? Silly.

    Calzaghe by a country mile

My point is that against the same level of opposition, Calzaghe proved to be a much better fighter. Calzaghe was always a cut above the likes of Lacy.

I see your point but using common opponents as a yard stick is a dangerous game.

Do you apply the logic that since Taylor was comfortably beating Froch until that final round, the fact that Abraham beat Taylor enhances Froches will over Abraham?

I don't think Taylor was comfortably beating Froch until that final round though. He was ahead on points, but the last third of that fight was markedly different from the first two.

    For sure Calzaghe-Lacy!
Abraham-Froch, That win is impressive, but abraham is one-dimensional.

Look at all of the facts to decide -
    1. Lacy was a fully fledged SMW, Abraham was a small SMW former MW
    2. Most picked Lacy to beat Calzaghe, Froch vs Abraham was deemed a 50/50 fight.
    3. At SMW lacy had a far better resume than Abraham, as for resumes Abraham had, had more title fights but resume wise are similar
    4. Lacy was coming off a win, Abraham a loss
    5. Abraham was more experienced than Lacy

No doubt there are many other points ive missed but to me, Calzaghes clear victory over a fighter favoured to beat him ranks higher than a Frochs clear victory in a fight deemed 50/50
