stop talking out your ass, scrub. it dont take long to prove your drivel, when the drivel is fact based.
Yeah, to me a pick is a much less serious thing than it is for many people on here. It's more "this is how I'm leaning" but I've never claimed to be some kind of prognosticator like Bud Dwyer or any of those other 'gambling advisory' charlatans. There's no such thing as being a "guaranteed reliable" fight picker, literally no such thing on planet Earth. Nobody will ever have a 100% record on a long enough timeline. I'd never tell people unironically to "bet the house" (or any sum of real money) on the basis of what I say my pick is for a fight ..and I readily admit that some of my "picks", in the cases of underdogs that I'm a fan of, are more my rationalizations of why they could win. I've never pretended differently.
Eleider Alvarez woke up a few days ago and was suddenly one of the boxers that certain fans are clutching will fail miserably from here to the end of his career. He went from being underrated and avoided to being totally average and overachieving, all from a fight he did not take part in. Wild. He was always appreciated by what seemed like your hardcore boxing fans. I suppose agendas and allegiances have no boundaries.
Let's see how his career goes. Same with Yarde. If they become undisputed LHW champs then they are one of the best wins in Kovalevs career. Deal!
Donaire put in his best performance for years, I have seen his recent fights and he was always looking for a massive left hook, he was back to the old donaire today. How ****ing tough is donaire by the way. Kovalev put in the worst performance of his career, he was on the back foot from first round throwing half power punches. Kovalev was exhausted after six rounds and got absolutely sparked by a middleweight. No comparison for me.
Not even close. Nonito has looked good in recent fights and was coming down to a weight where most people think he is at his best. Kov has declined rapidly and has looked really bad recently against poor opponents. Also, watch the fights. Kov went through the motions and seemed more interested in winning a few rounds. Nonito came to win the fight and gave it everything he had. You can’t make the comparison on paper alone. Look at how each man fought and ask yourself which one fought to win. Even a Canelo fan should be able to have some objectivity. You guys are quick to completely discount this aspect of the comparison. Nonito fought like a true champion and Kov fought like an old man looking for a check and trying to hang on long enough to not completely embarrass himself. You can pretend he was dangerous but his actions proved otherwise.
I’ll go so far as to say beating Eleider Álvarez is more significant than beating Nonito Donaire. Easily last Feb.
Ask myself which one fought to win?! Kovalev was winning on almost everyone's scorecard out there and was 5 minutes away from seeing the end (and being the rightful winner in the eyes of the masses). His strategy didn't entertain you? Too bad, sucks for you. Obviously Donaire came to win. He always does. But Kovalev came a lot closer to actually doing so. You are speaking to Donaire's biggest fan on the forum. You aren't going to fool me.
To be honest we are wasting our time trying to get through to canelo fans, they just choose to ignore that kovalev was a shadow of what he was. At least donaire was conditioned for twelve rounds rather than six.
I'm pretty sure he bashed Hopkins for more than six rounds and done very well against Ward for twelve rounds the first time they fought, I also remember him stopping a few guys after six rounds and looked pretty fresh so I think your wrong about that.
I'd say the five that voted Kovalev were just mindless Canelo stans and/or trolls - but... @Chuck Norris and @Max Thunder are generally savvy, level-headed guys. I guess everyone is susceptible to having a sip of Kool-Aid now and then.
