    keep telling yourself this. Kov was fighting to win a decision which would never have happened against Canelo (you know this) and which he did not have the gastank to achieve. It was a plan with zero chances of succeeding. Not sure why but in the end, he fought in a way that has literally had no chance of winning. Use your eyes, Nonito was a way bigger victory. You can’t just look at it on paper, look at the actual fight, the guy who showed up and how he fought. Kov was there to get a check and to not be embarrassed too bad.

    No they didn't, regardless of odds. The majority were picking Kovalev and even many public figures openly called Alvarez crazy for taking this risk. Now that the fight is over, "ohh, we knew this would happen". Rather typical and boring.

    No, more people actually picked Canelo to win. 30 people picked Canelo to win in the final predictions thread, and only 28 picked Kovalev in this thread - https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/canelo-vs-kovalev-final-predictions.638846/

    Furthermore, a lot of people picked Canelo to win this fight by KO:

    So no one predicted Nonito Donaire would win, but many people predicted Sergey Kovalev would win, but beating Nonito DOnaire is a better win? LMAO!

    Why don’t you make your case for Yarde being top10 LHW, unless you can’t, and are just trying to talk him and Alvarez up just to shill for Canelo and are projecting with your agenda accusations?

    Donaire clearly. While both he and Kovelav are past their prime Kovelav's a total shadow of his old self whereas Donaire is not.

    That not how the things work here. 14 people out of 30 that were picking Canelo, picked him by KO (12 of them by definite KO) despite the fact that Canelo never ever before stopped elite fighter who didn't happen to have a glass jaw (like Khan). And now he is coming up from 160 to 175 lbs and is going to KO Kovalev? WTF? But a lot of people here (including myself) predicted Canelo's win by KO - that was because how shot Kovalev looked resently. He lost all his speed, punch resistance and even his power diminished dramatically. That was hard not no notice. I think a lot of people who were voting for Kovalev, did it because of their haterage to Canelo. I don't like Canelo too, but I gave him credit for being an excellent boxer. I just don't like his fake, arrogant personality. So I was rooting for Kovalev to win, but was 100% sure that Canelo was going to KO this awfully diminished version of Kovalev

    About even to be honest. Donaire is the better fighter career wise when compared to Kovalev but Canelo going up to Kovalev's weight was still very impressive and he stopped him as well.
