What he said. BTW, Hopkins was roughly a 4/1 underdog in both fights so few people actually gave him a chance.
Clearly Pavlik. Pavlik was the win Bernard was missing - a fresh young undefeated champ of (almost) equal size. It would be sad to have the beating of a man half his size as best win.
Damn close - and I think Tito is a better win, but the intangibles of the Pavlik fight gives it the edge.
Its got to be the Tito fight. This win set everything up for BHOP and propelled him into the spotlight. If Hopkins lost that we might never have seen the BHOP we see now.
Trinidad was on FIRE when Hopkins fought him. He was already in the midst of establishing his outstanding legacy, was universally recognized as a top 2 or 3 P4P fighter (some had him in the top spot) and had blasted Joppy away in impression fashion to start off the tournament. That win was more impressive. The only thing that even makes the Pavlik win comparable is Hop's age.
IMO, it's Tito. They are both amazing wins though. His performance against Trinidad is probably the best win of this century so far. Tito had just crushed Joppy in 5 to win the WBA title and was a big favourite to win, and... Masterclass
