Massive underdog? Kid, are you taking a ****?
Oscar looked like dead dog**** against STEVE FORBES and you want to pretend Pac was a big underdog?

    GTFOH:good

DLH completely DOMINATED Forbes from "Ding to Dong"....and PAC was the underdog by a LARGE margin. It's not speculation kid...those are facts. Forbes NEVER before got a schooling like he took at the hands of Oscar. Real talk.

Forbes was a lightweight most his career and it was hardly a schooling. Look at Oscars face after the fight. You think a lightweight busts Oscars face at 151lbs if Oscar had anything left?

    Several things to consider:

    1. Pac highest weight going into DLH fight was 135 lbs.
    2. DLH himself said he needs to put on weights to make 154 lbs
    3. Pac made DLH quit
    4. Pac was the underdog. Everybody was saying it would be a mismatch in favor of DLH

After thorough analysis, I decided to vote. :yep

DLH was a -165 going into the fight while Mayweather was -350 going into the fight.

Pacman is a true legend. We won't truly appreciate what he accomplished until he's retired. The man is unreal.

Manny Pacquiao is an ATG. Stevie Forbes is a professional sparring partner. And Oscar with anything left whips both their asses.

JMM was a lightwieght which was fairly a new weight for him at the time Floyd had him come up 2 weight classes to face him at WW.

And the onesided affair between Forbes and DLH was on level of JMM and Floyd. Oscar took more damage but there wasn't a round that DLH or Floyd lost. And at least forbes was more of a legit WW than JMM.

Taking punishment as a boxer is nothing new. Sure DLH isn't use to getting busted up but Forbes actually infliced MORE damage than Floyd was able to do just months earlier. Doesn't mean much but it's itneresting that a naturally larger man couldn't do as much damage to DLH than the smaller one.

    Two things here.

If we take the odds going into both fights, certainly Pacquiao-dela Hoya takes it running away. Most boxing pundits were giving it to Oscar, so much so that many media personalities were labeling it a circus act.

Mayweather-Mosley, on the other hand, was a fight Floyd was favored to win, but due to his seeming predilection to pick on easy fights was considered an improvement, namely a big challenge for him.

Now, after the fight, general consensus was that Oscar was severely dehydrated for the fight and the win had a lot of its shine watered down.

On the other hand, Floyd's win also suffered from impressions of Shane already ageing plus the fact that historically he seldom did well against boxers/movers, but to a lesser extent than the Pacquiao-dela Hoya result.

All in all, the gap between both matches [pre-fight is light years away in favor of Pacquiao-DLH, while postfight it's a little close in favor of FMJ-SM.

Bingo, both men were over the hill, but since Oscar was younger and got stopped by a smaller man, I voted Pac.

HOLD UP WHY CAN'T I? CUZ WHAT PEOPLE WERE SAYING BEFORE THE MOSLEY-MAYWEATHER FIGHT IS EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY WERE SAYING AFTER??

U OWNED URSELF WITH THIS POST

OF COURSE U CAN SAY MENTION WHAT PEOPLE SAY BEFORE A FIGHT
...ITS MORE VALID THAN WHAT THEY SAY AFTER A FIGHT AND ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO FLOYD.....

******* SEPT 20 2009: FLOYD WOULD GET KILLED BY SHANE..SHANE IS A BIG WW WHO HAS A LOT OF POWER AND HE'D BE ABLE TO USE HIS SIZE AND PUNCH POWER TO MAKE FLOYD FIGHT HIS FIGHT

******* MAY 2, 2009: FLOYD PICKED A GUY WHO IS OLD AND CANT FIGHT....

LMFAO..ANYONE CAN CHANGE THEIR OPINION AFTER THE FACT:thumbsup BUT ITS WHAT THEY SAID BEFORE THE FIGHT THAT STICKS

Stevie Forbes was competitive. He lost nearly every round but he made Oscar look stupid a few times aswell. There is no comparison between Floyd dismantling an ATG in Marquez and DLH being competitive with a sparring partner.

And Stevie Forbes inflicted much more damage on DLH because he was shot to pieces. Floyd fought Oscar a YEAR earlier at his natural weight.

Seriously you actually think that Stevie Forbes last 3 rounds with a semi still got it Oscar De La Hoya LOL!
