Margarito TKO Cotto is a better win, that was tainted by the common interest of Cotto & Mayweather

Hand Wraps don't KO people, 1000+ punches do & thats the only way to challenge Mayweather :deal

Do we really need a poll for this? Just contrast the 2 fights.

Manny systematically broke Cotto down over 12 rounds. It was actually a bit sad to watch Cotto slowly break like that, being the proud warrior that he is.

Floyd while easily edging out a decision had trouble at times and looked to be showing his age in that bout.

This doesn't change the facts that Floyd is a stylistic nightmare for Pac and Manny is a psychological boogie man for Mayweather.

The loss vs Margarito weakened Cotto Chin (Paving the road for TKO Pacman)
The loss vs Margarito forced Cotto to rely more on boxing (making it harder for Floyd)

I think Mayweather Sr is to blame, he is the Ultra defensive side of his son. He thinks Jr has to win every fight without catching a beatdown in the process.

Mayweather Sr. understood that Pacman can't be kept off Jr.

When Sr talked his son out of it, Pacman became the boogie man :yep

acie2g broke it down the best. It's easy to look at Mayweather's and Pacquiao's fights vs. Cotto and say obviously Pacquiao had the better performance due too Pacquiao stopping Cotto. If you look at the underlying circumstances (basically everything that acie2g pointed out) there was a lot more going on underneath the surface. I can remember Teddy Atlas, when ask about the matchup between Pacquiao and Cotto, that team Pacquiao knew the fruit was ripe for the picking given Cotto's recent loss to Margarito.

Good observation, he must have been envisioning his Son catching those punches that had Hatton

As I said years ago, Void will never fight Pac period! He decided that years ago right after Pac stopped Cotto. There is a reason Void refuses to fight Pac, styles make fights and Void knows it. It appears that Void does not believe he can beat Pac, if he did he would have fought Pac years ago. Think about it.............

A Prime Manny Pacquiao would have given Mayweather problems.
